About this ebook

Job says, "My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle and are spent without hope" (Job 7:6). To all those still looking, I hope you find something herein. For the very words of Jesus are "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you." So, herein I have attempted to relay some of Jesus's words, for He is the master of all things. He writes better than anyone else. So we must publish. We must publish the truth as God sees it and then maybe a little as we see it. Not everyone sees the same, so forgive me if I have overstepped my reach. Only, "if the shoe fits, wear it." We can only receive what the Lord allows us to see and understand. Herein is the basis of life, to spread our understanding and to love our fellow man as ourselves.

God bless.

King Jesus - Beatrice Francis Carey

    Learn of Me

An exhortation to all the beloved leaders of the planet and, also, to those not so beloved. "Learn of Me Jesus said for I am meek and lowly. And you are saying, So how is meek and lowly going to get the job done?" Maybe ask those around Him. The crowds that couldn’t get enough of Jesus—they wanted to make Him king; personally, but not really, I think if the Roman occupation had not yet been there, they would have succeeded in making Jesus king in spite of the Sanhedrin and Pharisees. He was so popular, so famous, so much God, and so much a king—King Jesus.

So, dear leaders, listen up… This is a Word from God to you.

The Words of the Preacher, the son of King David, king in Jerusalem

I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun, and behold all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

That which is (twisted) cannot be made straight; and that which is defected cannot be numbered.

Now I said, Lo I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: (and in the world) yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge. (Ecclesiastes 1:1, 12–16)

Let’s get some impartation here. King Solomon first lays down his credentials, and humbly at that, because the Lord had asked him in two visions what he wanted. Long story short, God gifted His boy here with wealth and wisdom above any living being in the Earth, past, present, and future, God said. No one will ever have all this and all this honor again in the Earth. King Solomon was King David’s son, and he was king of Jerusalem, God’s holy city, and at once also king of all Israel, God’s covenant nation. Now He exploits here in all twelve chapters his exponential calling. He was the preacher of all Jerusalem and all Israel, and the Levites and priests sat back and were audience to his preaching. No one, no one had the godly wisdom of King Solomon. Well, yes, there were still prophets in the land that had a few "Thus saith the Lord" exhortations. My point is this, He was king and preacher. And this qualified him to be shepherd to the flock, his nation, and captain of his people.

Now, dear ones, let us be thus minded. You leaders of these great big nations—you are to be the preacher, leading your people down the old paths of Jeremiah, keeping your country on the straight and narrow, going Godward using the old paths the good way, led by the preacher out of the good book. Yes, those old fuddy-duddies you’ve been laughing at—long beards, top hats, long skirts, and all those incense burners. I bet they have tattoos of Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop and wear jogging clothes at home and order take-out pizza and drink wine till the wee hours, talking to themselves.

Guess what, they are the sane ones because sanity and reality come with Jesus who is and said, I am the truth. The world is a lie; God is the truth. Don’t deny it. You know it; just come out. You have known it forever because from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make thee wise unto Salvation. You just did not ponder, you did not consider, you are running away so fast you are burning a trail in the ground. Come out and get on with it. You pretend to not know the Word, and I know there is a Bible sitting on your desk; time to read real words. You also pretend that you never stepped foot in a church for service. I have seen pictures of you walking in and out of cathedrals. Hello!

You are to be both shepherd and preacher and lead in the way. If you have hold of the Lord’s nail-scarred hand and lead in the way of righteousness, we will then have our highest hopes of living in peace. He is our peace; He is the Prince of Peace. Let us know Him evermore. If you live in this world without Him, don’t expect to be with Him in the next. If we believe not, the Scripture says we are condemned, doomed already, and the King’s enemies shall be cast into a fiery furnace. As Christ Jesus says, I am the only way. Refuse the Prince and you will suffer torment without Him. He does not care much for those that reject His most gracious overtures. You can go through life as a soldier, wake up at 6:00 am, do service all day and every day of your life, but until you turn those eyes heavenward, it is all in vain. The Preacher repeats and repeats and repeats…

Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity

What profit hath a man of all his labor which he taketh under the Sun?

One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the Earth abideth forever. (Ecclesiastes 1:2–4)

It just continues on and on, and where she stops, nobody knows, except the Father. All is vain and without meaning, because the cycle of all things just continues on forever and leaves the solitary individual rather empty, floundering on life’s waves of meaningless nothingness. Solomon, in essence, is saying, Friend, there is nothing to it. I should know. I am the greatest in the land, king of all wise and rich, and nothing satisfies me. It all is just gloomy and empty. Again, like a hamster in a cage, we are—all of us—going through the same motions, and Paul says if this is all there is, then we are of all men most miserable. Check it out. The truth does not lie.

All things are wearisome, weary beyond words:

The eye is never satisfied, the ear has never enough.

What has been is what shall be, what has gone on is what shall go on,

And there is nothing new under the sun [the Preacher’s most famous words]. (Ecclesiastes 1:8–9 Moffatt)

Men say there is, Ah this is new! but it existed long ago before our time.

And the men of that old time are now forgotten, as men to come shall be forgotten by the folks who now follow them. (Verse 12, 13 Moffatt)

Again, remember that this man’s wisdom was Supernatural, a gift of God. He knew and he knew.

He says; I have seen all that goes on in this world; it is a vain and futile business.

And you cannot count up the defects in life.

My mind, Solomon says, had exceeding great experience of wisdom and knowledge. (verse 14–16 Moffatt)

And he continues on, pointing out his credentials to let us know this is no light weight that is putting forth these words to you. This is his book of wise sayings. I mean the apostle Paul wrote books, but, friend, he only pointed to the facts and truths that were already laid out in the Old Testament of the Bible. This masterpiece of Solomon’s was all new and original material straight from the mind of God. Because his writings, sayings, and proverbs were the mind of God, which God imparted to him. He says so himself:

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the Masters of Assemblies, which are given from one Shepherd. (Ecclesiastes 12:11)

That shepherd is God Almighty and Jesus Christ Himself. So let us continue on with how Solomon is going to prove his point. He says, Yes. Yes, I will prove all things by the wisdom and riches God gave me. And you say, What is He proving? He is using chapter upon chapter and line upon line to bring His case in for a home run. He is building momentum and enlisting every angle of man’s life to show you conclusively that there is only one show on the road, and that show, friends, is Jesus Christ personified.

I went all out for great works Solomon says I built castles, planted vineyards, laid out gardens and parks. Built city after city, some just for his stalls of horses…

He made pools to water the fruit trees in his plantations… I Had large herds and flocks he says greater than any man before Me. I amassed silver and gold, Right Royal treasures…and grew richer and richer, and richer. (Ecclesiastes 2:4–9 Moffatt)

So I was great and increased more than all before me in Jerusalem

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and behold, all was vanity and vexation of Spirit. [It was vain and futile with no profit.] (Ecclesiastes 2:9, 11)

    Therefore I hated life…

Yea I hated all my labour which I had taken under the Sun: because I should

leave it unto the man that shall be after me.

And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? Yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured and showed myself wise under the Sun. (Ecclesiastes 2:17–19)

Yes, King Solomon did it all and did it best. There is no one that will ever get a good comparison to him. Preacher of God, nearly king of the universe, not only had it all, but his cup overflowed, and all peoples came just to get a glimpse of his lavish and happy kingdom. If someone today had a hundred billion dollars, they still would not compare to the preacher/king. We just cannot even imagine. Queen Sheba traveled on camels through desert wastelands just to come and see him. Jesus mentioned her coming to see him in His gospels. And He said a greater than Solomon is here.

Can you imagine if our president were Spurgeon, Jonathan Edwards, or the likes of the apostle Paul, all wrapped up in the likes of George Washington, Ronald Reagan, etc.? You know, friend, you would have had to be there or have seen it to realize this kingdom, this nation is ruled by a godly man, even a preacher. This preacher, like Elijah before him, brought fire down from heaven, and it consumed Solomon’s dedication sacrifice. The presence of the Almighty was so, so great in the temple that the priests fell backward. You can’t make this stuff up; it was for real. God did so many outlandish things for His Hebrew children, like parting the Red Sea and turning the Nile to blood to convince Pharaoh he was not god—but that the god of the Hebrews was the one and the only God in the entire Earth.

Imagine your prime minister, president, dictator, king, or queen being that godly. We again would all flock to see them. You say it is not possible, but oh, dear friend, it is; it most surely is! Why? Because a greater than Solomon is here. Yes, here. We are the temples of the living God Himself incarnate. He dwelleth in us, empowering us to be His sons and, if sons, then heirs of all the Father has. Yes, we serve an invisible God. So what? That is His choice. Dare we question with even an and or a but the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth? So for God’s sake, friend, when was the last time you stopped in your tea garden and smelled a rose? Consider…consider.

Be not as the ox or the mule or the horse that has no understanding. Most of the time, I think the birds, kitties, doggies, and animals know better than we that most surely they were created by the Almighty God of heaven and earth. Why? Because when I talk to them of Jesus Christ and the Lord God or sing a hymn or cry out loud to God and shout to heaven to remind the Lord I am down here, under this tree, on this miserable, suffering earth—right here, Lord,—you know they all understand and smile.

Yes, they say she knows. She knows the one, the only one that made us, our creator Jesus Christ. All these little animals He created and they know it; they smile and look heavenward too. Friend, let nature, let these little ones teach you to stop and look up; look heavenward, and pretty soon you, too, will be going Godward. You will have a clear mind; all the confusion will melt away as you look heavenward. No need of that dizzy therapy session or the counselor or the psychologist. Why? Because God is the supreme and only counselor you will ever, ever need, and you, friend, in turn will be counseling them, all of them. For He is Lord.

    Listen, listen to Sir Moffatt!

The master of prose and literature—

The one, the only holy man of God,

    Lord Moffatt.

For a child has been born to us,

    A son has been given to us;

O the Royal dignity He wears.

And this the title that He bears—

    A Wonder of a Counsellor,

    A Divine Hero,

    A Father for all time,

    A Peaceful Prince!

    Great is His authority,

    Endless is His peace,

    Over David’s throne will He…

    Base it firm,

    On justice and good order

From henceforth and forever. (Isaiah 9:6–7 Moffatt)

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel [that’s you and I] doth not know. My people doth not consider.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O Earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against Me [saith the Lord]. (Isaiah 1:2, 3)

And what saith the Scriptures? Yes, a child shall lead them; that child, of course, is our loving Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth Himself. Next, the ox knows his owner, folks. Do you know your owner? All souls are Mine saith the LORD. He created you—sort of looks like you are His ever-exclusive property. Amen! Next, the ass, his master’s crib—he knows. Do you? Yes, that Bethlehem crib was His first stay… What does your crib look like? A sprawling castle, I bet. Why do we go so far from God? You have lived like kings and queens on the earth, but the Son of Man hath nowhere to lay His head. Sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Jesus says to the rich young ruler, Come and follow me.

Now I am looking at the kings of the Old Testament. Yes, there were good and bad kings. There were young impetuous kings, only looking to make a name for themselves at the expense of their kingdom. Their hearts ran after lusty pleasures, and they did disregard the hand of the Lord and the God of their fathers. Thus the Lord rewards a man after his ways and his doings, because He is King alone, a holy king and a great God worthy of our praise and adoration. God is not mocked whatsoever. A man soweth that shall he reap; if he sows evil and unrighteousness, the same will be heaped upon him tenfold. God is never mocked.

Let us look at two kings: first Hezekiah and then his son Manasseh—a good and a bad king. At this time, the children of Israel were living in idolatry, making for themselves idols and images as golden calves to worship instead of worshiping the Holy God of heaven. And this provoked the Lord God their Savior to great anger. So He afflicted them at the hands of their enemies and spoiled them. Hezekiah comes to the throne after his father, Ahaz, at the ripe old age of twenty-five. This young lad gets rave reviews from on high, and let’s see why.

King Hezekiah did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that King David his father did. (2 Kings 18:3)

So pay attention, kids; this is how babies become men overnight and goats become sheep. When we please the One in Command, God Almighty, then yes, good things happen. The sun shines; people are happy. No, not that fake happiness I see. They are happy, truly happy. They feel God at the core, and heaven opens her windows and pours down her blessings. Let us continue with the gospel truth.

King Hezekiah removed the high places and totally obliterated the idols and images.

He even cut down the grove they were in.

King Hezekiah trusted in the Lord God of Israel (exclusively), so there was none like him among all the kings of Judah or any that were before him.

None like him, none ever like this great king. He was so great before God and man.

For King Hezekiah clave to the Lord, and departed not from following Him, but kept His Commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses.

And the Lord was with him; And the Lord prospered what so ever he went forth doing. (2 Kings 18:3–7)

Now an old war lord, the king of Assyria, came up to challenge Hezekiah. Truly you can lay money to the fact that wagers were made in heaven behind the pearly gates, between the Almighty and Satan. Satan teamed with the king of Assyria and Israel, saying, You better not think that God can save you. Nothing can now save you out of my hand. I am all powerful and have conquered all the other nations around you.

I laugh, says the king of Assyria to King Hezekiah, that you are five times outnumbered and you are going to just trust in God. Hardy har, har. And indeed, Hezekiah was afraid of so great and strong an enemy; it was like David and Goliath. But Hezekiah went right into the house of the Lord and cast himself upon the mercies of the Almighty. Now listen close to every word of his prayer, because it is a sermon of its own accord.

And King Hezekiah prayed before the Lord and said… Thou art the God, even Thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the Earth; Thou hast made Heaven and Earth.

Lord bow down thine ear and hear…and see O Lord…the words they use to reproach Thee, the living God. (2 Kings 19:15, 16)

Now therefore O Lord our God, I beseech Thee save Thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the Earth may know that Thou art the Lord God, even thou only. (2 Kings 19:19)

Wow, what a flattering, gracious prayer. Could the Lord deny His own glory? I say never. He hit all the hot issues, the main one being that the Almighty is supreme over all the kingdoms of the earth. He is the Creator/God, and He alone is God and should be worshipped and Him alone. Hezekiah turns out to be the Lord’s advertising agent unto the whole earth. That the Earth may know, he says. He had the angels singing, and God was laughing as the devils were falling out of heaven. For no devil in hell is a match against the Holy One of Israel, not even the mighty King Sennacherib of Assyria. God and God alone is governor among the nations. And the Lord said to Hezekiah, I will defend Jerusalem for King David’s sake because it is my city. And that night…

That very night the angel of the Lord went out and killed 185,000 men in the Assyrian camp: they were all found to be dead corpses in the morning. (2 Kings 19:35)

You cannot make this stuff up. I can’t wait to see the accolades he will receive in heaven. His rap sheet continues with more miracles. Hezekiah cleanses the filth from the temple, God’s house of worship, then worship and the sacrifices and the holy convocations were kept. Hezekiah realized their sins had separated between them and their God. He wanted the trouble to cease, and the wrath of the Lord turned back from us, he says,

Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that His fierce WRATH may turn away from us. (2 Chronicles 29:10)

Dear leaders, observe and learn how the successful ones reigned in victory and peace upon this Earth. No, they did not oppress one another, and the leader did not oppress the people. He taught them the ways of God. Yes, the king, the president, the prime minister led in the things of God. Let us return unto God, people. Let us emulate the successful and the righteous, for evil shall not inherit the kingdom of God and heaven. Let us be good students, thriving in our Father’s vineyard as pleasant grapes, sweet to the taste.

Furthermore, Hezekiah was not about promoting himself; he was all about promoting God, exalting God, the Lord of host on high. Not a smidgen of self-exaltation. Remember, God resists the proud but loves the humble. When kings and dictators oppress their people, do not feed them, and instead feed themselves and become billionaires, God moves quick in His fierce anger and will put such out in the field to eat grass and graze as an ox. Ask King Nebuchadnezzar, whose face was in the dirt eating grass as an ox until he realized that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men.

And at the end of days I King Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto Heaven, my understanding returned. And I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honoured the King of Heaven that liveth forever, His dominion is an everlasting dominion and His Almighty Kingdom is from age to age [without an end]. (Daniel 4:34)

No one is God but God and if you think you are divine or a god, Mister Dictator, get clued in. He, the Almighty God of heaven, is God alone. He is a jealous God and does not share His platform with anyone, no one! Amen! Get used to it. We are all peons; it’s just some of us know it, and others have not found that out yet, but that is the truth. God reigns supreme, no one else. Back to Hezekiah, God’s favorite OT king. Why? Because he brought his people to the throne of God and led them out of idolatry. They cleansed the temple and prepared altars of sacrifice to keep the Passover.

And the Lord hearkened to King Hezekiah…the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day singing with Loud instruments unto the Lord.

And King Hezekiah [encouraged]…the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the Lord. (2 Chronicles 30:20–22)

So with this feast day there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of King Solomon the son of
