Dedication
First, I would like to dedicate this book to the lovely lady, my aunt Ruth. She took the time and effort to teach me to tat.
Second, I dedicate this book to my late husband, Larry. He was my muse and mentor, giving me ideas for pattern and encouragement to develop my ideas and put them on paper and into a book to share with other tatters.
Third, I dedicate this book to my many tatting friends that have helped me and encouraged me to develop the patterns. They have given me tips and ideas on how to proceed when I would get stuck at a certain point. Many of my tatting friends have helped by test tatting the patterns for me and giving me suggestions and corrections that needed to be taken care of to make the pattern flow nicer and easier.
Fourth, a special dedication to Charlotte Hamblen for giving me the first bulb. It was a very small plastic bulb, but that bulb ignited the many different bulb patterns that I have developed.
Finally, a wonderful dedication and thank-you to Joan Kilian for her work editing this book; for without her, it would be full of many mistakes. Thank you so very much.
I wish to thank Brenda Cook, the photographer for the wonderful photos that
