I Jizammie J. Griggs, would like to dedicate this book, Duck Poo Island’s Fun World Part 1, to my Sister Meccia Latara (Griggs) McCants, AKA (Bone) she has always believed in me. At about age three or four, I proclaim to be Spiderman and Meccia believed in me so much so, that she pushed me out of a second story window to help me prove it. Since that day, I’ve stayed away from open window’s and proclamations! It doesn’t matter in my life what I want to do, if I decide to do it, I know I can count on Meccia to give me a push! I love you Bone!!

I Jizammie J. Griggs, would like to dedicate this book Duck Poo Island’s Fun World part 1, to my wife Ann Li Griggs. For if not for her entering my life, I doubt I would be the man I am today. God blessed Ann, with this uniqueness, that made me want to be a better man. I would also like to recognize Ann as the person who suggested to me, that I write this book series, while we were out on an adventure with Adam and Andy. Thanks Ann, I will love you always.

The way you prosper in life, is to learn from others mistakes, so that you don’t have to make them!

Duck Poo Island’s Fun World part 1

Greetings! Just for general knowledge, this book ( Duck Poo Island’s Fun World Part 1 ) is the duology of another book starting at the tail’s end of one story, disguised as the beginning of its own. So before you begin reading this book, let me suggest that you read The Adventures of Duck Poo Island first. I feel it’s my duty to give you the opportunity to digest the two books the way the author intended. But as they say, Rebels never live a boring life. Enjoy!

    Introduction of the Six

As our story starts out, it is a reunion of sorts for this misguided band of brothers and sister, who consider themselves to be the black sheep of their original families or lack thereof. You see, this band of five drifters, formerly at-risk youth, had decided a couple of years back that they were done with the systems. The systems being the foster care system, the juvenile court system, and the school system. Basically, society altogether. They consider themselves to be off the grid, but they failed to realize that if you steal or take from people on the grid, it makes you part of that grid.

Guess they should’ve stayed in school, but to them, school was holding them back from life and living it how they wanted to. They felt that they were ready to be adults, but somehow they missed out on the fact that adults don’t just get to do what they want to do, but they also do what they need to do because if our parents just did what they wanted to do instead of taking care of us, they would be clubbing it up, partying it up, drinking it up, and drugging it up. And that’s exactly what happened to most of these kids. Instead of their parents doing the responsible things and caring for them, they neglected them, mistreated them, and, worst of all, they forgot about them. These kids were left to fend for themselves, so naturally they ended up in the systems—foster care system, juvenile courts system, and in strange schools—where they had no friends.

They were always considered the problem because they had no one to take up for them, to look out for them, to have their backs. So one day in detention hall when this five, plus one more, a guy named Chris, were all serving detention together. Chris talked about living in indigent and demeaning conditions. He had to watch his foster mother took care of her own kids in the main part of the house and dressed them in clothing bought with money that he thought should have been for him. He told the others that when the health care worker came by the house, his foster mother would dress him up and bring him into the main part of the home as if that’s where he lived and slept. That day, they all shared their stories, one horrible tale after the other. The stories nearly took up the entire two-hour detention period. With about thirty minutes to go, they all had gassed each other up something heavy, so they all decided to leave early, all six of them: Chris, Brian, Leonard, a.k.a. Leo, and Maynard, who is Leo’s biological little brother. They were just separated from one another last year and put into separate foster homes. Luckily, the homes were not that far from one another so they still got to see one another in school.

Also with them was Carla, who was the youngest of them all at only fourteen years of age, and Kwan Squared; actually, both his first and last name was Kwan. Kwan Squared, or Kwan Love, which he was sometimes called, was considered Vietnamese,
