Chronicles of the Hidden Cave: The Lion of Juda
()
About this ebook
Ben loves to wander around outdoors exploring nature with intense curiosity.
His special place is an oasis where his ramblings become thrilling adventures. He discovers a cave on a high cliff, hidden by an overgrowth of bushes. He encounters a creature he could never have imagined and a mysterious voice that sends him on missions to authenticate happenings that occurred in the life of Jesus. Along the way, he relives ancient events, meets interesting characters, and gains skills as a secret agent intent on learning truths.
The discovery of the cave also led him to find an underground chamber that contained chest of artifacts and jugs containing scrolls. Because of its unique characteristics, he called the chamber a magical place and vowed to keep it a secret until someday in the future.
The fictional tales, which are fanciful and adventurous, will hopefully encourage interest. They are followed by a biblical entry which gives the facts of the story. If I may quote a well-known theologian, Dr. David Jeremiah, “The fiction drives the truth into our hearts, and the Scripture behind the fiction drives it into our minds.”

Preface
Wild child—that’s what Ben’s mother calls him, a name well earned because of his keen interest in the natural world. His intense seeking, prodding, and exploring is like that of a curious cat. It is also a distraction, causing him to lose track of time, like an absent-minded scientist. The woodland surroundings of his family’s vineyards allow him the freedom to roam and delve into the wonders of nature.
Ben’s happy place is an oasis of springs and waterfalls encircled by cliffs and tall timbers. It is a setting where the real world becomes a domain of make-believe. However, his passion takes an unexpected turn when he has a chance to encounter with a strange creature, discovers secret records of past times in an obscure cave, and receives instructions from an unknown voice. He’s given the task of proving the accuracy of the messages by traveling back in time to collect facts and report on historical events.

The Mysterious Encounter: Narrative Entry 1
Small animals scurrying about, butterflies dancing among the wildflowers, pollywogs flittering at the water’s edge, and goats perched on the side of the cliff were what Ben expected to see at the oasis. Never, in his wildest dreams, did he imagine catching a glimpse of something that made him tremble in his boots. It sailed over his head, blocking the sun, causing spooky shadows. After several minutes of gasping, almost losing his breath, he began to breath normal, yet he was in a pickle, debating his next move. His curiosity eventually outweighed his fears. He grabbed his backpack and clambered up the treacherous knoll of rocks in search of the creature casting the enormous silhouette on the lagoon. It appeared to vanish into the rock face of
