INTRODUCTION
I have been in hospitals, nursing and rehab facilities for over the past year. Previously I founded and managed a non-profit for
survivors of domestic violence for more than 30 years, owned a real estate and bookkeeping business for over 40 years. I have written and published 3 books, The secret code of girls - the ins and outs of being female
, Restored by Grace- a journey like no other
, the secret code of girls- empowering girls to mature into confident women
and teen journals; I Lead With Authority
and Crown Me Queen
.
While recuperating I had plenty of time to discern what my next assignment would be. I’ve witnessed many aspects of nursing, the good, bad and ugly. I’ve found most nurses, aides and physical therapist to be compassionate but overworked. I wanted to create a tool to Revive, Empower and Motivate this next generation to embrace this profession and give it the energy needed for the next decade.
Nursing requires a lot of skill and care, care being the operative word because it is part of the healing process. One can go through the processes all day long but when the care is missing it reflects in the mental and physical attitude of the patient.
I was blessed to meet some wonderful staff members during my journey, they helped to make me look forward to another day. Thank you.

Everyone who crosses our path leaves an impression, some good and others not so good. My journey was long so I encountered lots of nursing professionals, the following left very favorable experiences with me they are Melissa Procaccini, Shirley Obrien, Helene Levy, Deven Lewis, Deidre Mae Hawkins, Georgette Brianvil, Annette S., Gina Clark, JaMarcus Todd, Mario, Veshalie, Cheryl, Trice and Xavier, Napoleon Williams, Jeremiah, Lurline Kemakai, Malinda Childs, Bernadette Camille, Camille Estes, Stacy McGee, Valerie Kelling, there were others whose names I can’t remember due to the extent of my illness, you know who you are.
I was treated at numerous hospitals, nursing & rehab facilities, my most memorable stays were Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Kensington Gardens Rehab and Nursing Center (Clearwater), Piedmont Hospital and Jonesboro Nursing & Rehab Center (Atlanta GA)
