This is an adorable and heartwarming story. I loved how Sal’s disability was handled and expressed as it felt very authentic. The challenges of learning to navigate friendship, especially for someone who doesn’t fit into the crowd, were very relatable. The pacing is great and the ending is very satisfying. I really wasn’t sure what to expect going into this but I was charmed. Would recommend it to any middle grade readers I know!
