Preface
Midnight Sun
is a struggle against a nightmare to face reality. It reveals downfall in love and determination to rise again influenced by strong faith and devotion to God.
Two other related love poems, Freed and Like Water. Freed exhibits the struggle while Like Water shows understanding of a problem as light in darkness.
And the two other love poems, Sea Nymph and Soulmate, the first, being fantastic as a teener; the second, tragic as a young adult experiencing a failed love.
As a college freshman, my tula (poem) entitled, Taghoy ng Isang Baliw (Lament) was published in April 1966
