    Author Biography

Clinet was raised among tall trees, lush meadows, and rugged mountain tops in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. In his youth he lived off the land by collecting herbs, native flora, fauna, and farming. As a mountaineer for most of his life, he grew to love and appreciate nature’s beauty.

He first became interested in the martial arts while watching Kung-fu Theatre as a kid and started taking Martial Arts in College. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 1987 with Biology and Physics degrees, he started training under many Grandmasters to learn the true essences behind the arts.

His primary interest lies in myth, legend and the individuals search for truth. He recognizes that the martial arts are a means by which a person may express themselves and should be treated as the refined art it has always been.

With a martial arts career spanning more than 25 years, he has been featured on TV, Newspapers, and Magazines. As a certified high school teacher, the area High Schools would bus their PE classes to his school for self-defense classes.

He spends much of his time raising his young children, guest speaking, conducting seminars and writing books.  To date he has written The Physics of the Martial Arts, Healing Meditations and 105 Things Every Martial Artist Should Know!
