Wisdom is knowledge rightfully applied.  Every understanding mind pursues after knowledge, continuous good success rides on sustained curiosity and learning. Greatness of anyone that seeks after knowledge without relenting is limitless.

Challenges and disappointments are the stepping stone to success for all who love wisdom.  This book teaches the different types of wisdom, how to acquire and use them to excel in every life endeavor and have good success.

Chapter One

Hallmark of Wisdom

Everyone is born into this world without knowledge and understanding of the environment into which he is born.  This poses the first challenge to man – that of understanding, mastering and subduing the environment into which he is born.

Divine Responsibility of Man

Although man comes into this planet earth with a blank mind, God charges him with responsibilities:

…God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen 1:28

Therefore the success of humanity is measured by how much of this responsibility he is able to accomplish. The responsibility covers every facet of human existence on earth. Each of them requires knowledge to be fulfilled.  Different kinds of knowledge are required for different facets of endeavor.  Right application of each piece of knowledge to proffer solution to human challenge is wisdom. Therefore different kinds of wisdom are required for different kinds of solutions.  God went ahead to endow humans with wisdom to accomplish diverse assignments as required by circumstances prevailing at each point in time. 

And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, Exo 35:31 - 32

To actually excel, it becomes paramount that man has to pursue after knowledge of diverse kinds and apply same appropriately for solution to problems of humanity.  Given the dynamic nature of knowledge, it becomes a requirement for man to keep studying steadily to meet up with the steady increase and changes in knowledge just as the scripture foretold:

…many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Dan 12:4

Knowledge is the power necessary for man to excel on the earth.  God also excelled via use of knowledge.  So we as humans must not relent in pursuit of knowledge.  Diverse kinds of knowledge are available for human excellence.  They all interplay to make the world a good or bad place of existence depending on their application.  So also the end result to the players of wisdom depends on what kind of wisdom they possessed and how they used it. 

Wisdom may be broadly categorized as Godly wisdom, and worldly wisdom.  Wisdom applied without reference to the will of God may be referred to as worldly.
