What you need to know about computing, explained clearly and with illustrations
Chapter 1: Introduction
Atoms are the smallest particles of an element. Each atom is made up of a nucleus and one or more electrons.
Electronics is a branch of physics that studies the behavior of electrons.
Electrons are the carriers of electrical charges inside an atom. They are located in the outermost shell of the atom, known as the valence shell.
Electrons move freely through atoms and thus chemical bonds are formed, which are the basis of matter.
Electric current is a flow of electrons through a conducting material. Electricity is a natural phenomenon that occurs when there is a movement of electrons.
Electricity is a form of energy that can be used in many ways. For example, to turn on a lamp, run a machine, or move an object.
The presence of electrical current is conventionally represented as a 1 (on) and its absence as a 0 (off). This is the basis of computing.

Computer Data - Angel Gabaldon
Introduction
Computer equipment and electronic components use direct current. On the other hand, alternating current is used for the transport of electrical energy because it is more efficient than direct current. Alternating current flows changing direction every so often (50 times per second).
The presence of electrical current is conventionally represented as a 1 (on) and its absence as a 0 (off). This is the basis of computing.
Similarly, the green light of a traffic light may or may not be on. This is data that provides us with valuable information for driving (data and information are different concepts).
Data is the electricity of the 21st century
Computer science is the automatic processing of information through electronic devices and computer systems.
Computing is vast and the technologies used are changing at a tremendous rate. Therefore, the smartest thing is to be critical of the information (abundant on the Internet) and improve our learning capacity.

There are many ways to improve our learning ability. Some of them are: study with an efficient method, eliminate distractions, exercise to improve memory and concentration, be motivated and be persistent.
Set theory
Set theory is a branch of mathematics that is dedicated to studying the properties of sets and the relationships between them. Sets can be defined in various ways, but in general they can be thought of as collections of objects (called elements or members of the set) that satisfy certain conditions.
The union of two sets contains the elements of both. In the image are the three regions: those that are only in A, those that are only in B and the elements in common.
On the other hand, the intersection is the common part. In the image it is the central region, which belongs to both sets.
Binary logic
Logic is a branch of philosophy whose object of study is the correct formulation and validity of arguments.
Binary logic is a form of logic in which there are only two possible truth values: true (1) and false (0).
Truth tables represent the initial values and the result of one or more operations.
For the union to be true, it is enough that one of the values is true. Instead, for the intersection to be true, both need to be true.
Computer architectures
Computer architectures (computers) are the fundamental designs from which the integrated circuits that make up computers are built.
The architecture of a computer is determined by the set of instructions it can execute, as well as its internal structure and the way its components are
