About this ebook

ENDORSEMENTS:
Andrew St. Wilson explores numerous topics with patriotic fervor. His poetry allows us to lift the veil of concealment to see the truth that’s often hidden. He excels at being both a teacher and an oracle. Harry Oberg, Colonel, US Army, Brigadier General, National Guard

America needs patriots again. Andrew St. Wilson boldly reminds us all of our history, our Godly heritage and our hope through his poetry and truth. This is more than poetry, it’s a heart cry for our country.
David Paschel, Senior Pastor, Calvary Baptist Church, Boise, Idaho

Andrew St. Wilson gives us poetry that engages the mind, gives pause for reflection and hope for our future. I know Andrew, he is witty, energetic, articulate and has the ability to help us view and synthesize contemporary life with historical reflection. Not the least, he has the courage to speak up for that which made America great.
Dr. Lynette Grence, PhD in Education

Author, Martial-Arts-Expert, Celebrity Hob-Nobber, down to earth, Andrew St. Wilson, taps into the profound variation of his love of God and America to create meaningful verse which deeply resonates with patriots and regular folks, alike. I stand in awe of his life! He shows us that we can be accomplished and important while continuing to be a nice person.
Carlin G. Bartchi, MD, Writer & Fellow Patriot

I recommend this book by Andrew, whom we first met at his early conversion to Christ. Andrew has unusual God-given abilities as a martial arts celebrity to being a gifted writer with a discerning spiritual mind-set. These poems reveal much hidden truths that will make the reader pause and think.
Dr. Mickey & Sonya Carter, Founders, Landmark Baptist Church & College

American Poet, American Patriot, Wake up America - Andrew St. Wilson

    A virtuous woman

Far above the price of rubies

    Who is supportive & encouraging

Fairest one of all, my wife, Dawn

    _____________

Once upon a time, I noticed a flyer posted on a retail store window for an upcoming revival at a local church called Missionary Baptist, pastored by Mickey & Sonja Carter. It is now known as Landmark Baptist Church & College in Haines City, Florida. I didn’t have a clue what a revival was until I sat in the FRONT ROW! Getting saved under Pastor Carter’s preaching changed all the rules going forward, the beginning of an amazing adventure.

I have often thought about Pastor Carter, his wife and their worldwide ministry. They have touched so many lives in a positive way. I remember listening to Pastor Carter’s patriotic preaching, warnings and encouragement years ago. Pastor Carter predicted the foreseeable decay of America it is today.

As President Ronald Reagan once said, Before I refuse to take your questions, I have an opening statement. He was clever enough to know about the gotcha questions from the Liberal Lefties. America is not the same country I grew up in. Citizens have forgotten that they are not the servants of government, it’s exactly the opposite. Political, social and spiritual apathy has become the norm, thus, a few of my poems will reflect that sentiment.

A once patriotic America has become on many levels, a PATHETIC AMERICA. Godless agendas have become the norm. This has been a motivating factor in why I write the

way I do with no apologies in defending God-authored, American-Patriotic values: Wake Up America!

    Andrew St. Wilson

    Painting is poetry

that is seen rather than felt.

    Poetry is painting

    Preface

On a square black & white TV in the early 1960’s, I can still recall a riderless horse galloping down a long Washington, DC street to the cadence of a solemn drum beat, escorting President John F. Kennedy’s body to Arlington cemetery. I remember when Cassius Clay knocked out Sonny Liston and the day Martin Luther King was killed in Memphis. I recall watching Robert Kennedy’s assassination on live TV from the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. I remember when I saw Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, and the first time Michael Jackson did the moonwalk on live television.

Being older helps, it preserves history. Without writers, there would be no historical record. Of course, I’m excluding bias reporters who have deceptive agendas and distort facts. Facets of the human enigma: patriotism, faith, romance and life, can be embraced by poetic prose. A lot can be said in a poem. It allows people to engage in deeper thought.

I’ve had a colorful past: A performer for Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, a former world kung-fu champion inducted into the World Black-Belt Hall of Fame the same day as Bruce Lee. I have met some famous people on my journey: Neil Armstrong, Billy Graham, Muhammad Ali, Jesse Owens, Dolly Parton, Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, King Haile Selassie… the rich and the poor. As a Cellular Herbalist, I developed an all-natural formula which many medical experts have called, a miracle in a cup (CellularTea.com).

I have met three US Presidents, rode in a motorcade with one, and was an invited guest to the Vatican to have an audience with Pope John Paul ll. I tend to see and understand things from a unique perspective because of my history.

We’ve all been inspired by happiness, success, betrayal, deception, love and yes, pain. Those elements create deep reflections in the mind of a poet. Looking back, a store I visited years ago didn’t have a poetic greeting card, so I wrote my first

poem. I hope what you read here is eye-opening, educational and encouraging, enjoy!

    Andrew St. Wilson,

    American Poet, American Patriot

    Patriotism

The architect and defender of freedoms,

    a cause worth dying for,

    that others may live… FREE

    Remember September

Amidst the morning dew, tragedy greeted innocence

brother, sister, family, and friends, unaware

descending to the earth, clay and mortar

a moment in time, lives changed forever

Busy footprints and the clamor of industry ceased

but for a moment in time

with a torch in her hand,

and smoke filled horizons, Lady Liberty weeps

From the ashes, a leader speaks

we the people, accept the challenge

from ravaged ruins, our flag rises

echoes of our forefathers, awaken our pride

Separate voices, kindred tongues, become one

    the weak and the mighty

    are tested by adversity

Death nor tyranny’s endeavor, shall hinder the proud

soar upon the wings of an eagle

its feathers of freedom are courage and patience

The tempest of our resolve is challenged

its talons of victory will speak triumphant

sorrow reigned but for a moment in time

    yes, tragedy touched innocence

    The ashes, the memory

    we shall never forget

a constant reminder of freedom’s debt

    we shall always ...Remember September

    Right Is Wrong

They tell us it's all about LOVE

    yet author actions of HATE

    They talk about UNITY

    yet divide and SEPARATE

    They remove the BOARDERS

    yet weaken a NATION
