Acknowledgement
This journey of this book started first as an idea, then an online story used run a program before being metamorphosed into a book. Writing this fiction story has been both a delight and a challenge as it stretched my imagination on how to pass across the intended message.
I want to particularly appreciate the efforts of Pastor and Mrs Kunle Rabiu for their unceasing support and encouragement throughout the writing of the book.
My sincere thanks to my son, Ayanfeoluwa for his keen eyes for details and proofreading severally. His enthusiasm about the book was very encouraging.
With heartfelt thanks to all my friends that encouraged and share their thoughts on this book
To Mr Tomide Olukuade, thanks for your excellent editorial work. Your guidance, and support through the writing process made a huge difference to the final work.
My unending appreciation goes to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the inspirer of the story and life beautifier. I could not have done this without Him. To Him alone be all the glory.

Preface
A moving plot with twists and turns that keeps you flipping the pages from the beginning to the end.
Olaronke has done a marvellous job with this realistic storyline about a young lady whose mannerisms are notorious unladylike; hot tempered and ready to engage anyone in a fight. A narrative that you will find funny and at the same time move you to tears.
Life happens to all. The unexpected befall the best of men but the secret to a wholesome life is to find healing and learn to forgive others and yourself for past mistakes in order to face the future.
Olaronke’s creative thinking coupled with access to vast resources on the topic of forgiveness, gave her the necessary tolls to craft this fictional but beautiful narrative. Having seen the earliest drafts of Silica Eleko and given the opportunity to write a forward to this amazing book is a true joy and privilege.
I want to commend this book to someone, who like Silifa Eleko, is angry about life and fighting to stay alive but everything seems to be going down the lane of self-destruction. Enjoy the comedy in the story but hold on to the truth that God is still in the business of restoring the broken. You need not hold unto the label you have warn for so long. It is time to take off the old garment, and allow Jesus give you His garment of honour and beauty.
Is. 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

The Unwelcome Guest
––––––––
I matter to myself and to my mama. Nobody insults us and gets away with it. Can you imagine that good for nothing guy, calling me a child of nobody
, just because I asked him to pay the money he owes? I have warned him several times yet he refuses to listen. He's always looking for trouble. He is really pushing me to my limits. I think I have cut him enough slack. Since he is asking for trouble, I will gladly give him some.
As I sat on the bed muttering unclear words and shaking my legs in silent fury, Mama entered the room. Her sunken eyes and her slumped shoulders revealed a downcast soul. She looked quite miserable, like the world was against her.
I quickly snapped out of my thoughts, and asked what could be disturbing her.
Rather than respond to my enquiry, she started crying. Crying? This was unlike Mama. I hardly ever have seen her cry; let alone doing so right in front of me. Her open show of vulnerability was both alarming and disturbing. I immediately put my arms around her and tried to calm her down. The more I tried to get her to talk, the more she cried. As I could no longer bear the emotional meltdown, I joined her in crying, holding her close to me. Suddenly, there was a big bang on the front door that shook the very grounds we stood upon. I pulled out of my entanglement with Mama, startled and a bit disoriented. Who could be banging so hard on our door, I muttered under my breath whilst trying to fish out my bunch of keys from my bag. Just then I heard footsteps approaching.
In that moment, I became transfixed, unable to decide whether to go meet the footsteps or withdraw into hiding. Mama’s veins stood taut on her neck with fright. She motioned me to hide behind the bedroom door, and with her index finger
