Success is on the Way - IGNACIO E. FERREIRA
CHAPTER I
THE MATERIAL MAN
THE PERCEPTION OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD
We live immersed in the world of our thoughts without perceiving that we are involved in a world outside of us. Within ourselves, we formulate ideas, feel feelings, make calculations, and think that the universe is all here. But if we feel cold it is because outside of us there is something that cools us, if we feel pain, it means that there is something that has caused it; if we feel love, there is a person we like.
There is therefore an external world with which we constantly interact through our feelings, our minds, or our heart. From our inside we perceive the outside world but, as we will see later, we are intimately linked to everything that exists outside of us and no matter the distance, size, height, or depth. We are all participants in a world that is great and small at the same time that I can have, feel, and perceive within me. We are all similar because we are all children of one man, Adam. Stones have the same characteristic, and the stone will always be stone, no matter where. Water is always water: it will always have the same chemical formula in any place and time. The same formula that binds these elements, binds us too, for this reason, we are participants in nature and the outside world. If so, we can connect through our feelings and perceive everything around us: our body knows how to do it, and our heart even more.
WE CAPTURE AND RECEIVE INFORMATION
Ancient Eastern culture sees the universe as a unity, a circle that has ma and at its center. Isaac Newton and René Descartes created the explanatory model of the clock according to which the mind is separated from the body and we are separated from each other: it is precisely this idea of separation that today is the foundation of Western thought. Newton described the universe as a set of separate things, with the idea of the body as an instrument with two motors, the brain, and the heart. Thinking like the Orientals, however, we know that everything is linked and my body is not separated from others, not even from inanimate things. The universe was made from hydrogen and hydrogen created stars and stars created the elements we need to live like oxygen.
The matter my body is made of is the same matter that everything else has been made of. Everything that exists on Earth exists in my body: for example, iron, minerals, air, water, etc. The bond between us and other things is very close. Everything was created by the same matter and everything is linked by a field of information and intelligence. The heart itself is bound by a field of information and intelligence. As in the brain, and also in the heart, some neurons help us decipher long-term memory: it is the neuronal tissue that exists in the heart precisely to impress information. A good example of this is instinct, the feeling that we feel as soon as we enter a place where there is something strange, and dangerous. Our heart warns us, and if we are sensitive enough and able to listen to it, we can also know what it is. We learn from birth to death, from the first moment to the last of our lives. Even as babies we learn and if it were not so it would not be possible to progress in knowledge, even physically Otherwise, how could we understand this world, and perceive the things that are near or far?
THE FIVE SENSES
Touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell: we all have five senses that bring to our mind the perceptions and information of the outside world. These senses capture information and transmit it to the brain that analyzes it and returns it not only to its own body but to the whole world. Our eyes pick up electromagnetic radiation and transmit it to the brain that analyzes it. The tongue, through the taste buds, does the same with flavors, and the nose, with its receptors, does it with smells. The skin picks up vibrations from the outside world and transforms them into chemical energy, which circulates throughout the body. Hearing is a converter of mechanical energy into electrical energy that reaches the brain, which we call sound
.
The Eyes
The eyes are the tools that capture the images of the outside world and bring them to the visual cortex where the image is analyzed. It's not the eyes that see, but the brain. The eyes only transform electromagnetic radiation into electrical energy to be perceived by the brain. The visual cortex is located at the back of our head, near the nape of the neck. The physical structure of the eyes resembles an orange; it is structured in small segments
(alveoli) and increasingly tiny structures. For this reason, not everything we see we perceive through the conscious mind. Subliminal
images are images that lie outside the lights of consciousness. Scientists say the brain analyzes millions of beats of information per second, but we only know a few. We can then say that the eyes are the tool that captures the image and transports it within us.
The Skin
The human brain also perceives the outside world through touch. Our skin is the tool that captures information through millions of cells and transforms it into chemical energy so that the brain can analyze it. It functions as the mediator organ between us and the outside world and has many important
