SPIN-OFF TO GHOST (SAVAGE CROWS MC BOOK FIVE)

My niece - who I thought had been dead for years - had just tried to kill me.

Jessa wants her dead, but I'm trying to give Kala the benefit of the doubt, which I don't normally do.

Ghost and I are doing our best to keep Jessa grounded because our woman will kill someone over me.

But when someone tries to kill my woman, I don't care about anything else but revenge, and I'll slaughter anyone who had a hand in it.

I'll destroy this entire world for her.

    SIDE INFO

A chaplain is normally the one over all of the spiritual things in a club, as well as performs marriage ceremonies, funerals, and puts protection on members in jail.

A chaplain in my book is the one the members go to for advice. So, please keep that in mind while reading this book.

    Thanks!

    NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

This book contains elements and themes that some readers may not find enjoyable. These include pregnancy, an emotional, hormonal FMC, two overprotective, overbearing MMCs, two men sharing one woman, graphic violence, family betrayal, murder, and elements of child abuse.

If any of the above is triggering for you, I advise against reading.

    JUDGE

They always said when that woman first enters your life, you’ll know.

And fuck, I sure as hell did.

I noticed her back at the Savage Crows MC’s clubhouse while I was there for a problem a few of my members had caused. My eyes had instantly been drawn to her, but back then, she’d only had eyes for Ghost—their Chaplain. So, I’d kept my distance. I knew better than to encroach on another man’s territory, especially a man of an MC. We’d kill over those we love.

And I knew Ghost was a shady son of a bitch when he needed to be. You never knew when that man would strike. It was why he got his name.

    You can’t see a ghost.

But when I witnessed her seeing her brother—my VP—for the first time, I wanted to destroy something on her behalf. The broken, torn expression on her face had ripped me to fucking pieces. I didn’t know a woman—much less a woman I hadn’t even spoken one word to before in my life—could make me feel so goddamn much.

And yet, so easily, Jessa had.

So, when it was time for me to pack my shit and head back up north, head back to my own club to deal with my own shit again, I’d told Brent to stay behind. His sister needed him, and I wouldn’t deny her that. Even if I still had yet to speak a word to her, I never wanted to make her suffer.

But when I got that phone call in the middle of the day one day from Brent, I wanted to rip Ghost’s heart out of his fucking chest.

What’s the route you’re planning to take? I asked Dylen as we stood over the table in the chapel, a map laid out before us.

I had a rule in my club. We didn’t use GPS, and when you went on a run, you took a burner phone—not your normal phone. You were required to know every important phone number by heart before leaving the clubhouse.

So, before every run, Dylen—my road captain—would lay out a route, and he would engrain it into his head. He was damn good at this—had a photographic memory.

We’ll take this route, he told me, tracing his index finger over the roads he was planning on taking. It’s mostly backroad—no interstate. Hard to track us.

I nodded once and clapped a hand to his shoulder. Good. What time are you leaving out tonight? I asked him as I looked at my watch, noticing a message from Brent.

Answer your phone. Got a problem.

Hold that thought, I told Dylen as he got ready to speak. I strode out of the chapel and grabbed my phone out of the basket, calling Brent back. What? I snapped.

Ghost just ripped Jessa the fuck apart. She’s upstairs packing her shit. I need to bring her back with me, Judge.

As if he even had to ask. Honestly, he could have ridden back here with her without ever telling me, and I honestly wouldn’t have given a damn. But my day instantly fucking brightened at the thought of having her here where I could finally convince the now single woman to be mine.

Ghost had fucked up. I was moving in.

Bring her here, I told him. Don’t have to ask for permission for that kind of shit, brother. She’s family.

Thanks, Prez, he told me. We’ll be leaving out soon. I hear her coming down the stairs.

He hung up the phone after that, not letting me get another word in, not that I minded. I wanted him to take care of her, and as long as he was doing that, he could hang up on me all he wanted—well, to a certain extent, that was.

I put the phone back into the basket and walked back into the chapel. Dylen arched an eyebrow at me. Jessa’s coming here? he asked, picking up on the conversation.

I nodded. Her and Ghost had a falling out.

Dylen smirked. You look awfully pleased by that fact, Judge.

I grunted, ignoring him. Time, I told him, getting back on the subject of the run, not particularly feeling like dealing with Dylen’s fucking prying.

I was smoking a cigarette when Brent pulled onto the lot in the middle of the night. Jessa was half asleep, barely keeping her eyes open, her head resting on his back. Even from a distance, I could tell that her eyes were swollen and bloodshot. I wanted to bury Ghost in a shallow grave somewhere for doing this shit to her.

I stomped my cigarette out with the heel of my boot and walked over to his bike. Come on, girly, I softly coaxed, reaching forward to help her off the bike after she removed her helmet. She swayed as she got off, her legs almost buckling beneath her. Without a word, I swept her up into my arms. I could feel the curious eyes of my VP on me, but I ignored it. You got her bag? I asked him as I began striding towards the clubhouse to get her settled into the room that I’d had Reese clean for her.

Yeah, Brent simply answered. Collin pulled the door open for me, allowing me to stride through with Jessa in my arms. I could feel her pretty, gray eyes sleepily running over my face, but I knew she was too exhausted to voice her questions.

Once I had her upstairs in her room, I gently placed her on the bed. Brent instantly began removing her shoes for her, tossing them aside. She yawned, her eyes fluttering shut. I grabbed the covers and quickly pulled them over her. Get some rest, I told her. We’ll talk in the morning, yeah?

M’kay, she mumbled, already passing out.

    I walked out of the
