SCHOOL AUDITORIUM
Music is primarily designed to sound beautiful.
But to my ears the sound of this song was not sonically suitable.
When I removed my hands from the piano,
the black and white keys dismantled from the piano.
and then… the keys to the piano went airborne crashing into the walls leaving the room in shambles.
The sight was freighting; too much for my mind to handle!
A close-up of a keyboard Description automatically generated with medium confidenceThere was something mysterious and haunting behind the music.
When I played the notes on the staff, it would cause the hairs on the back of my neck to erect.
I broke out in a sweat as if the climate were muggy and humid.
My composer entered the room, and he became curious to how I became wounded.
He says,
What happened to your arm? It appears as if someone has bruised it.
I informed him the keys from the piano flew in the air and struck me.
He looked at me and laughed as if I were crazy and stupid.
I tried to convince him I was serious, but he sarcastically insists,
I don’t believe ghosts exist; and Ian if ghosts do exist, I challenge you to prove it.
What will it take to convince him my thoughts are not lucid?
Every time I played this tune, the keys would move independently unprovoked by the touch of fingers.
When I described my experience to my friends and others, they looked at me oddly, some friends unfriended me.
My composer snatched the sheet music from my hands but little that he knows, I wrote the notes down on a sheet of paper for my personal possession- so I can have it for reference.
IANS APARTMENT
I played the sheet music on a piano located in the living room of my private residence.
I played the notes C-E-C-E-D-A-D-D-E-E-D-D-E-G-A-B-B-E-A-B-B-E-
I heard unintelligible sentences from a raspy whispering voice once I stopped pressing the piano’s keys.
I sensed a presence---hairs on the rear of my neck were tickled by an abrupt breeze.
The events I have experienced left me in uncertainty, my mind was not at ease.
I constantly question myself,
Why does strange events occur when I play these notes?
I returned to the band to meet my composer.
When I met with him and described the events I have experienced, he did not say much – of anything.
I was in a consistent journey for closure.
But… no one would give me any information, and at that moment I knew it was solely up to me to uncover the mystery behind this music; I must be the decoder.
TEACHERS OFFICE
One day when band practice was over,
I entered the private office of my music teacher and rambled through dozens of folders.
I felt as if my actions were kosher.
Within a trash can, I discovered ripped up
