When I tell people how much I pay for electricity, most respond with something along the lines of 'you must live in the dark' or 'I could pay that if I never turned on any of the lights or appliances.' My method and this book is not about saving through reducing your usage (although it never hurts). It is about being an informed shopper by learning some basics about the electricity market and then applying a simple formula to compare plans to save money when buying electricity.
