    Congratulations on taking this step to share the life-saving Gospel message with others! There is nothing more important in this world than helping people to enter into the next one, and it cannot be done without willing Christian messengers.

    Considering the Gospel

    Whether you are new to evangelism or have shared your faith in the past, you might find some of the information about the Gospel to be new to you. For example, you may find that even having believed the Gospel yourself, you have not thought about it as being comprised of several elements. The purpose of carefully studying these elements is to prepare to thoroughly and accurately explain the Gospel to others without using common short-cuts that do not convey its true meaning. The five elements—who, what, why, how, and where—will also help you recognize points of disagreement with the Gospel in those with whom you speak.

    Considering Ourselves

    Evaluating past efforts—or the lack of them—is another way to prepare to share. Whether the prospect of witnessing is intimidating or something you never considered, this class will challenge you to begin the work of your ministry almost immediately. If you have witnessed before, you might find some new tools for your evangelism tool belt that will help you avoid pitfalls you may have experienced in the past.

    For efficiency, we ask class leaders to reserve the right to interrupt. Many participants have had amazing experiences witnessing, both of the good and bad varieties.
