About this ebook

Holly

Eight years ago, I had my first taste of true love. It was bittersweet when after he promised he would come join me in America and didn't. Until today ...

My life is simple. I run a successful cafe in Sage River, Rhythm and Brews, and spend my free time with my friends and family. Sure, everyone is settling down and having babies, making me the odd one out, but I don't hate my life.

I just miss the man I know I should be settled down and having babies with.

And choosing anyone else at this point feels impossible. After all, I've waited eight years for him with no one else even making me do a double-take. But then he walks into my cafe, and I'm filled with immediate ... anger.

How dare he suddenly appear and upturn my entire life! And to make matters worse, he says he's a Duke, and that's why he's kept away so long. But now he's here to claim me as his ... Except my heart was broken once, it won't survive a second time.

Auggie

I've loved Holly every day for the past eight years, but after my brother got sick, it was my duty to take up the mantle of responsibility. And, well, being a Prince tends to keep you busy.

I've got 72 hours to convince her that I never forgot her and earn back her love. And I plan to do it, as crazy as it seems, because going back home without her is even crazier. I won't give my heart to a political marriage, not when my future wife is waiting for me in sleepy Sage River.

However, Holly's reaction to me when we finally lay eyes on each other is not quite what I expected. Instead of hugs and kisses, she shoves me out the door and tells me to get lost.

She's going to make me work for it, but there's no better prize than Holly Lewis, so I'll do what it takes.

But maybe the damage is done, and I lost my chance to be with her. I know I hurt her, but if she just gives me the chance to explain, maybe she'll understand. I would've chosen her if I could. After all, the stakes couldn't be higher, but here I am, begging for her heart.

THIS IS A 20,000 WORD STEAMY NOVELLA WITH AN INEXPERIENCED CURVY HEROINE, ANGSTY LONGING AND A FILTHY SECRET PRINCE. IF YOU LOVE BOOKS WHERE THE SEXY HERO LOVES HIS WOMAN NO MATTER WHAT THAN THIS IS FOR YOU. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

    Holly

It was another busy day at Rhythm and Brews. It was a point of pride that no one seemed to make coffee at home anymore but went out of their way to have mine. There was always something for people that they couldn’t get at home, like Elsie ’s exclusive pastry line she made for me. Business was booming so much in the last two years that I’d taken on full-time staff members and part-timers to help with the workload.

I even had a trip coming up. I planned to head to Columbia to source beans and start my own coffee line. It was both exhilarating and terrifying. A lot of weight rested on my shoulders to not screw this up, but there might one day come a time when a local coffee shop would no longer be enough to sustain me.

So, I wanted to put my business degree to good use and expand as much as possible. I even hoped to get to a point where I paired with Elsie, and we made our own line of products to put in stores. That was the dream my sister-in-law and I often spoke about over Sunday dinners.

Hey, Bodhi. How are you? How’re the renovations coming along?

Bodhi looked at me with a smile. Hey, Holly. Good, I mean, for the most part. Renovating is never easy, and we’ve discovered a slew of issues with the piping. I need to get a plumber in to hopefully fix some and replace the rest. But what did I expect buying an old building and trying to transform it into a hotel?

I smiled warmly at him. I know an amazing plumber. I can give you his number if you’re interested.

Bodhi smiled. That would be perfect. Thank you so much. He took a sip of his coffee and groaned. Honestly, I’ve lived in big cities, and nothing compares to your coffee, Holly. I don’t know what you do, but it’s incredible.

I smiled as I sprayed the table next to him and wiped it up. Just magic, I promised with a wink, making him laugh. Can I take that? I held out my hand for his dish, and the bell over the door chimed as he handed it to me.

We both looked, and the sight stopped my blood cold. It’d been a long time since I’d seen that face. Eight years to
