Fear of evil spirits and demons appears in every culture. Demons are supernatural beings and when it comes to absolute strength, these evil beings are greatly more powerful than even the most powerful human being. Consequently, we find it very easy to understand why people all over the world have built all manner of superstitions that they feel will help them break loose from the devil’s influence. They know they aren’t strong enough to resist the devil themselves, so they come up with some other means of nullifying the influence of evil spirits.

As Christians, we understand that these superstitions have no effectual power to drive Satan out. Only one person can completely do that, namely, God Almighty Himself. Jesus cast out many demons from the possessed man. After the man was delivered, he became a very strong evangelist and disciple of Jesus Christ.
