About this ebook
Unfortunately, Viktor's new state means he can't be seen in public without a disguise, especially not by his grieving parents. He can't even see his own reflection because it's forbidden and goes against the conditions of the gift. This complication puts his happiness at risk because he might not like what he sees in the mirror, and it's something that needs to be avoided at all costs.
Damon must make a difficult decision. A sacrifice of some sort is the only way to permanently restore Viktor's life beyond the twelve days and bring him back to normal, but it comes with untold consequences that Damon must blindly accept. Will he make that sacrifice, or will he face losing Viktor forever?

Writing has been a significant part of my life since my teen years, and it continues to be more so than ever. Throughout that time, I've not only improved my writing in various ways, but I've met numerous writers and readers from different parts of the world. I found support in the form of friends, both personal and business. While they may be few, they mean a lot to me.

A Tearful Dozen
By Kieran Frank
Viktor Dahlen: my boyfriend who rested underneath the earth. A dozen white roses adorned the small gravestone with his name and life date engraved on it, which was the first time I had decided to give him some flowers.
The cemetery was the last place I would have thought I’d be spending more time. Now here I was with a hole in my heart that couldn’t be sealed, my chest tightening every so often. It felt as if I were drowning in a vast lake after a walk along an imaginary broken dock, much like all my bouts of depression. My twenty-second birthday was today, but Viktor’s death continued anchoring my mood to the depth of my inner lake, numbing any care about anything else in life.
As a new indie author of nonfiction, I could write a big book about everything going on, but this tragedy was too surreal for me to want to write anything, my shock still intact. Idleness in darkness seemed more inviting than progress in lightness, not a flicker of hope to come my way.
Death sucked…
Why was bigotry so rampant in this country? Granted, the tragedy had taken place far south in the city—crime was almost unheard of here in northern Michigan—but it still meant a bigoted person could be anywhere and do anything. Justice might have been served as a result, but Viktor would never come back. Life already wasn’t the same again
