In other words, the struggles we are in today are developing the strength we need for tomorrow. The concept "to never give up" comes from the strength of struggle from within. When we learn to foresee our struggles as an opportunity to become wiser, better, and stronger, then we shift our thinking from proactively that I must do this.

Sometimes struggles of life are factual: what we needed in our life. If we go through our life without any stumbling blocks, we would be deprived of strength and efficiency. PREFACE

The main intention of this book is to introduce to the lay readers and students, the daily routine decisions, hurdles and development of the human self; the topics and quandaries that occur within the philosophy of life. We hope the readers will discover that life struggles are not an easy or a straightforward area of analysis to instill into one format.

In other words, the struggles we are in today are developing our strength we need for tomorrow. The concept to never give up comes from strength of struggle from within. However, I with exceedingly profound humbleness, am grateful to my respectable father, retired Prof. Dr. Manzoor-ul-Haque, for his encouraging and guidance based daily messages which I try to compile in a book form. These daily short messages are in general, spiritually rewarding and harmoniously agreeable fraught with association, spread over our entire period of life – without any bindings of the time, place and circumstances – with energetic approach and patient hearing, inculcating therein fountains of motivation in real sense. Whatever is entailed in this book is the reflection of my philosophical father’s competence, scholarship and genius that he drew from the last Book of ALLAH SWT, the QUR'AN.

I am very thankful to my brother, Akif Manzoor, for searching out some of the materials from my father’s repertoire of knowledge. And also thankful to my sister, Dr. Arzoo Manzoor, to facilitate me to work out day and night on this book.

OF REIMAGINING POLICING COVID -19

The Coronavirus pandemic has assigned more responsibilities and roles to police in terms of;

making changes in operational strategies and relocating whatever human and financial resources they have at their disposal;

effective response including

(a) active communication strategies,

(b) optimum use of technology,

(c) drafting of SOPs,

(d) additional funds with good salaries,

(e) enlistment of volunteers,

(f) improved institutional coordination and

(g) strengthening of community networks.

Another concern is how to police the cyberspace. Without incorporating crisis management functions into the law, along with updated training modules including unchanging values in character and exclusive allocation, the police will be reduced to the status of a spectator or reporting agency.

Because the police have presence in all areas, it is in a better position to immediately act as first responders; citizens expect a lot more from them. Websites, emails, helplines and SMS are effective tools to reach the public.

Law enforcement and public health is an emerging field, but public health and policing are averse to collaboration. Participation of the police in such crisis can improve their image and highlight their humane face.

In Pakistan, there are hardly any effort by police organizations to document and review flaws in their working. During crisis period, the police have to perform multiple functions.

Capacity building loaded with permanent values given in the Qur'an, training and equipment are the order of the day.

OF LIGHT OF THE QUR'AN

Even the best responsibilities can be overwhelming when you are not equipped to handle them. Just to support the weight of knowledge, you require a brain that is prepared, otherwise it will give way under the strain. So, instead of always asking for more knowledge, ask for light of Revelation given in the Quran. This light is of a higher order than knowledge, and it brings you knowledge as well. Just as the sun lights up physical objects, the rays projected by your developed self fall on objects in the invisible world of natural consequences of human actions and make them visible. In this way, you can gradually explore the psychic world, while giving your brain time to become stronger. Whereas, if you give it great quantities of knowledge too suddenly, it will be like putting too heavy a load onto a platform that is not properly supported: it will simply collapse.

Think of this aspect in your life!

CHANGE IS THE LAW OF LIFE

It is why if you imagine that, wherever you go, whatever you do, people will stay where you have left them and that, at any given time you will find them at your disposal and in the same state of mind, then you will be very disappointed. For them like for you, everything moves, everything changes. 

So, by all possible means at your command, maintain relationships with various people more or less close to you. Ensure that everything that takes place between you does so in the most harmonious way. But do not rely on the stability of your relationship, because one day you will be forced to realize that things are not going quite the way you had thought and hoped. So, concentrate on strengthening and enlightening yourself, because that is the only sure way to face all changes. If you have been given a few good and faithful friends, give thanks. Continue to foster a stable and unwavering place, so that nothing can ever stop you on your path.

OF COSMIC FORCES IMPACT

Whether you are alone in nature or in your room, you are, in fact never alone; cosmic forces are part of your life. Those who work for the good are always encountering forces of light who rejoice with them and help them in difficult times by affording them glimpses of a way out of their problems, of solutions to them. Most of the time this happens unbeknown to them. But if they strive to become aware of these benevolent presences, they will benefit much more from them.

How to draw these cosmic forces to you? With your affection to the human beings. Think as often as possible of sending them a smile, a glance, a beam from your heart, while saying: ‘'O you who inhabit the vastness of space, I have affection to the human beings, I wish to understand you, to be in harmony with you.'’ Perhaps no-one around you will notice that you have sent a message out into space, but these forces will, and they will receive your affection and rejoice, sending affection back to you a hundredfold. These are true exchanges provided you imbibe the Attributes of ALLAH SWT in your behavior, this is true communion.

OF PRAYER'S HANDS

Prayer is not limited to saying words. Why is it that very often when people pray, they spontaneously join their hands together? When they use this gesture, they instinctively find the deep meaning of prayer: one hand represents the mind and the other the heart. For a prayer to be powerful, it has to come from the mind and from the heart, from thought and feeling. That doesn't mean that you have to bring your hands together physically when you pray. You can pray with or without joining your hands and some people also pray with their hands open at face level, what counts is not the physical attitude but the inner attitude, the participation of thought and feeling in consonance with the Attributes of ALLAH SWT imbibed in behavior within human limits. Nor are the words the most important thing when you pray. They are important, of course, but only if they are also brought to life by thoughts and feelings on the psychic plane.

OF MUSIC AND HOW TO LISTEN

Everybody listens to music, but very few know how to listen to it in order to awaken their center of self, so as to soar into space, to rise to greater heights, to enable to develop their self, or even to solve certain problems. When we listen to a piece of music, we should first try to understand what it represents, whether it is a force for good or for ill, and what it can be compared to. Is it like the wind or like thunder? Is it like a waterfall tumbling down the mountainside? Is it like electricity or heat? Whatever the energy it emits, you must learn to use it. If it suggests the wind, imagine that you are on a ship in full sail. If it suggests electricity, use it to set your instruments of self in motion, and so forth. Music is a force. Each sound produces vibrations that trigger impulses in people, which they must learn to use for the welfare of the humanity in line with the unchanging guiding principles given in the Quran, the last Book of ALLAH SWT.

OF SATISFACTION

Most of us devote our days to the satisfaction of our desires and the realization of our ambitions. Do we ever question the nature of all these calculations, designs and projects? Are we in harmony with ALLAH's Plans? What are ALLAH's Laws in this regard? Are our desires in line with ALLAH's Laws? Where and how must we work to accomplish our will? Very few of us ask ourselves these questions.

Nothing is more important for a human being than to act upon the Guidance of the Being of our Creator, ALLAH SWT, in the invisible world to enable us one day to carry out the projects of His Design. Because at that very moment, our whole life changes: we are no longer guided by our whims, our weaknesses, and our blindness. In our efforts to know Divine Will, we put ourselves on a different track; we take a direction which corresponds to ALLAH's Plans, and that is the true life!

Do this and stay blessed.

OF PEOPLE CATEGORIES

Proud people imagine they are dependent on nothing, like a light bulb which claims to be source of light, forgetting that power station supplies the current. Those who are humble in obeying the Laws of ALLAH SWT, know that they are not an isolated being, that they are not independent, and that if they do not obey ALLAH's Laws, they will have neither force, guidance, nor wisdom. They sense that they are a link in an infinite chain of the Divine Laws which flows through them to all other human beings. What results do these attitudes hold? Proud people forget the source of currents which manifest through them; they believe they are dependent only upon themselves, and sooner or later become a barren land. Those who have developed their self (in line with measures given in the Qur'an) are like a valley irrigated by the Divine Laws that descends from the peaks to fertilize the plains; they receive forces that pour constantly. We have not understood wealth of developed human self. Obey the Divine Command and stay blessed.

OF ENTITIES

Every day we eat. But don’t be shocked if I tell you that we are also food for other entities. The entities of light, derived from the Qur'an, take our constructive thoughts, our good feelings, and everything in us that is inspired by wisdom and affection, and feed on it. They see us as trees producing flowers and fruit. When they come to pick them, they don’t break our branches, but water us and tend us, so that we may produce even more succulent fruit. But there are also dark entities, demons. They too need food, and they seek out human beings whose evil intentions and feelings are exquisite food for them; and so, they rob them of all their energy, leaving them exhausted.

There is nothing worse than being devoured by dark spirits, and nothing is more beneficial than serving as food for cosmic entities. And so, initiates tell us that we should offer ourselves up each day to the Nourisher for Him to feed on us. This image tends to show us that humankind’s spiritual ideal is to be commanded by the Nourisher so as to nourish the humans to the extent we may.

OF ONE'S WILL

It may be possible to get to the top in human society by making a lot of noise, hitting out at others and eliminating one’s rivals, but the only way to get to the top in the balanced and peaceful world is by constructive, constant, conscientious work. Only in this way is it possible to impose one’s will on the forces of nature and one’s lower self and try to join the circle of ALLAH'S Will. In the physical world, people jostle others and try to topple them as to take their place; and they often succeed. But they should know that they cannot evolve if they behave like that, and even their worldly successes will not last. For there is a Law of the Creator, which allows human beings to receive only what they work for and deserve. Yes, the forces of nature know what you do, what you are capable of, and what you are worth, and they arrange things in such a way that you always get exactly what you deserve by your work.

Think of it in real sense!

OF VICTORY

Victory over our lower human nature is always a little shaky. It is like the conquest of one country by another: no one can be sure how long it will last. The day is bound to come when the conquerors rest on their laurels and the conquered rise up and take their revenge. This is what happens with our lower nature: even if, in certain circumstances, you manage to conquer some of its manifestations, final victory is never assured. From one moment to the next, it can rear up and start bucking and kicking, and you find yourself flat on your back! So, what is the solution? The only thing to do is to implore your divine nature, the Quranic Principles, to come and dwell within you in your conduct. Then, instead of being like a conqueror who is never sure of victory, you will have a powerful ally to count on. Even when you are tired and less alert, this ally will continue to keep your lower nature in check and will set an example to follow for the next generation. Think of it!

OF STUDENTS

Let’s suppose students have achieved few victories over their laziness, anger, jealousy, or sensuality. If they think: Ah, how strong we are! We have overcome temptation, they will immediately be in danger, because it is at that instant that a trap is being set for them; and it is so skillfully and subtly done that they are bound to fall into it. Yes, because they have not developed their self in line with the Attributes of ALLAH TWT as given in the Qur'an within human limits. They are deluded by their minor victories and have no idea of how treacherous their lower nature can be. It is just when they feel sure of themselves that their lower nature gains the upper hand and prepares a few surprises for them. True students are always conscious of the dangers that threaten them. In fact, it is when they have managed to win a few battles that they begin to worry. They think to themselves: "What else is in store for them? They must not claim victory yet, it’s too soon!’ Not only are they constantly on their guard, but they know that they cannot struggle alone; they must not rely solely on themselves. They implore ALLAH to support them and give them the power to overcome the lower nature and to conquer. Think of it!

OF TRUTH

The truths expressed in the ALLAH revealed Books were experienced by exceptional beings, the Anbiya Kiram. In order to understand them, we must be able to rise to their level, to vibrate on their wavelength, and, above all, to adopt life as their model. Everything depends on the way you live; it was the way they lived that made it possible to hue the Attributes of ALLAH TWT within human limits. You must adopt this same way of life, so that you too may understand. There is no other method. Do not worry if you do not understand the Qur'an fully right away for there are some difficult things in it. Just continue to read with understanding and reach upwards with your thoughts, asking that your life may be changed with commitment. No true understanding is possible without commitment.

OF DOING ACTIONS

It is not enough to understand things intellectually and be able to explain them brilliantly; your understanding must manifest itself in your daily life. You must be able to demonstrate your comprehension not only by your words but also by your actions or gestures, by your attitude in each and every situation. Today, public opinion still places scientists, intellectuals and scholars first because they speak and write so well. But this situation will not last forever. In the future, people will esteem above all others who have cultivated the qualities of helping the humans with kindness, purity of thought, integrity and nobility, and capable of manifesting these qualities in their lives. That is why I say: Know very little, but have developed self, for when we develop this self, nature herself will esteem and obey us.

NOVEMBER 2020

HUMANS TORMENT OR TEAR EACH OTHER APART OVER TRIFLES

In everyday life, humans torment or tear each other apart over trifles. Their field of consciousness is so narrow and limited that nothing seems more important to them than their worries, ambitions, desires and quarrels. They do not see the immensity of the sky above them, all this infinite space that, if they would only raise their sights, would allow them to break free of their limitations and breathe a little. By thinking about infinity and eternity, they will begin to feel that they are soaring above it all, that nothing can touch them: no sorrow, no sadness, no loss، because a new consciousness will awaken in them; they will judge and experience things very differently.

Mull over judging over this experience!

IMPULSE THAT DRIVES MEN AND WOMEN TOWARDS EACH OTHER

The impulse that drives men and women towards each other that we call love can never be fully satisfied on the physical plane, for it is not the physical body that needs to love, but the heart, and beyond that the human self. If one looks no further than the physical body, the best one can hope for is some pleasurable emotions and sensations, which soon turn into jealousy, into a state of deep seated ill-will and hatred.

In love, as in many other areas, the body must be seen as an instrument, a means not an end. All those who make no effort to look further than the physical body will remain dissatisfied and, if they are married, their life will be hell, because they will end up only seeing each other’s bad points. Whereas those who have worked to make their love an exchange on the level of the human self will experience renewed happiness each day. Even as they grow old, they will continue to rediscover each other and rejoice in each other’s company. For it was not the envelope, the vessel or the body that they loved, but what it contained, the developed self-principle born of the One, the inexhaustible Source.

HURTING PEOPLE OFTEN HURT OTHER PEOPLE WITH A RESULT OF THEIR OWN PAIN

Keep in mind, hurting people often hurt other people with a result of their own pain. If somebody is rude and inconsiderate, you can almost be certain that they have some unresolved issues inside. They have some major problems, anger, resentment, or some heartache they are trying to cope with or overcome. The last thing they need is for you to make matters worse by responding angrily.

OF RELIGIOUS PEOPLE WHO STRESS NOTIONS

Religious people who stress notions, beliefs and rites that diverge from the essential realities of light, warmth and life، are the cause of great misfortunes. Let them start by turning to the sun to learn its lesson! The sun is generous and tolerant. It says, Believe, I am constantly sending you my riches. As for human beings, they are ready to wipe each other out to force others to accept their notion of ALLAH none of them has ever seen. You will say that ALLAH cannot be seen. Indeed, that is just it: a reflection of ALLAH can be seen in the sun! The sun is the supreme expression of divine perfection. It continues to distribute light, warmth and life to one and all, and is not concerned about knowing whether someone is Orthodox, Sunni, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim or Buddhist. In the eyes of the sun, all human beings are ALLAH’s creation.

Sooner or later, when humans can no longer close their eyes to these great truths, the whole world will find the one true religion. Then, Christians will understand that Christ is none other than those of the created by ALLAH TWT. Of course, it is not a question of finding Christ in the physical orb that we see in the sky. It is a question of sensing that beyond the symbol of the physical sun, it is the creation of the
