About this ebook

Aubrey isn't expecting anything special when she unwraps her 'Secret Santa' gift at the office Christmas party. About Anissa Palleson

Everyone at the office Christmas party was drunk enough for the opening of our ‘Secret Santa’ presents to bring more laughter than groans.

I sat in a corner, hiding away from most of the crowd, and eyed the brightly wrapped box in my lap.

There was no indication of who it was from, of course. That was the point. We had drawn names out of hat to find out who we were supposed to buy for, and with a fairly low-price limit, I assumed it would not be anything particularly interesting.

It seemed pretty likely, too, that no one would notice if I didn’t open mine before leaving for the night. I can’t say that I was the least bit curious about the contents.

Still, if it turned out to be some random junk, it would be better to accidentally ‘lose’ it here
