When you open the box, you notice a lack of accessories. So, you'll get:

A USB-C 2 lightning cable

A few pieces of paperwork

Apple stickers and

Sim ejection tool.

A Physical Tour of the Phone

Let's do a brief physical tour of the phone. On the front, we have the Face ID sensor as well as the front-facing camera and the earpiece speaker. Looking at the left side of the phone, first we have the volume rocker, so we have the volume up as well as the volume down button, and then just above that, we have the mute toggle. 

So, having the toggle down with the orange indicator showing, will mean that your phone is in silent mode and will therefore be silent to all notifications coming in. Simply trigger the toggle back up to trigger the loud mode, and this way, your speaker will be activated when you receive any notifications. Triggering it back down will go back into silent mode, and you'll also feel the phone vibrate slightly when silent mode is on.

Beneath that, we have the sim tray, which can be ejected using the sim tool that is provided in the box or any sort of small paper clip that you could fit in the hole, and the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max, like most phones these days, uses a nano sim.

Going over to the left side of the phone, we simply have one button, which is the side button and will also act as your power button and sleep wake button. 

Finally, on the bottom of the phone, we have a microphone as well as the lightning port and a second speaker unit. This will work in conjunction with the earpiece speaker to provide stereo sound.

Camera Setup

Up top, we have the big cameras, and the triple cameras are back again. They're just larger in size and thickness, so the protruding camera will now protrude more. So, if you place the phone down on a table, it'll wobble quite, and place it next to the iPhone 12 Pro, you will see how much higher it stands with that camera protrusion. You can almost see half of the thickness of the iPhone 13 Pro Max at its peak.

With that being said, the thicker phone isn't the greatest thing, but it will allow you to take advantage of new features within the camera, mainly the three times optical zoom. So, now you'll be able to zoom into things a little bit further without sacrificing the quality of the photo.

Additionally, we have the larger lenses here, meaning there are larger sensors
