PART I
OVERVIEW: MAYHEM TRILOGY
MAYHEM SERIES DESCRIPTION
The Mayhem paranormal future mystery series explores an epochal period in human history, of the people and their environment in the troubled United Westican Territories—aka the UWT—or just Westica.
During the course of three pivotal decades in the latter half of the twenty-second century, Westica has evolved from Old America—coast to coast and tundra to cape.
Through the course of this epic set in an all-too-believable future, the Westican people struggle against apocalyptic odds from centuries of bad decisions. Ultimately, this is a story of uplifting redemption. The indomitable human spirit prevails, but in unexpected ways.
Though set far into the future, you will find contemporary relevance at every turn.
UNDERGROUND:
This first book comprises a tale of suspense, intrigue and romance during the escalating insanity of 2150 Westica.
Zaya French is a tenacious journalist turned amateur sleuth who falls hard for a charming telepathic girl—Sierra Blade. She lives in a tunnel. Along with a gruff Chicago detective and an ex-Jesuit priest, this unlikely foursome seeks to uncover and solve a mysterious string of murders.
Zaya and his new friends are astounded when they expose not just a murderer with powerful sponsors, but a conspiracy of planetary proportions.
They will not be silenced. But will they survive? Will anyone?
MEAN STREETS:
Our old friend Zaya French returns to the Mean Streets of Chicago thirteen years after Underground ends. He and his gifted friends once again rise to meet daunting personal, political and environmental challenges.
But that is just a backdrop to the real stories of real people risking everything for the sake of others who are starving, bleeding and dying under the oppressive Westican regime of the 2160s. Even all of that is eclipsed by what’s really at stake.
Zaya and Sierra Blade partner once again—in love and in war—with the
