My Thirty-First Year (and Other Calamities): A Novel

About this ebook
—Timely: This book, in which the protagonist has an abortion in the opening scene, debuts when states like Texas are restricting abortion access; the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to reexamine Roe v. Wade; and the national and international conversation about abortion is reaching a fever pitch.
—Crossing two popular genres: This book combines the best qualities of both “chick lit” (like dating scenes and romance) and women’s fiction (thoughtful reflections on what it means to be a woman) into a joyful and meaningful read.
— Huge target audience: Because of its humor, depth, and examination of abortion, dating, divorce, motherhood, womanhood, and sex, this book will appeal to women aged 18 to 40, a demographic that buys more fiction than any other and has statistically significant chances of having an abortion and/or getting divorced.
