Control Your Thoughts: How To Transform Your Reality By Changing Your Way Of Thinking, Stop Being Reactive And Take The Initiative In Inner Change To Have A Fulfilling Life
()
About this ebook
The mind is a private and secret place. However, although it may seem to us that our thoughts remain hidden, sooner or later they'll be revealed, because according to the way we think, that's the way we'll be. Therefore, it's necessary to verify the quality of our thoughts because they will determine our results.
Consider that if we entrust the best cook in the world with the task of making a delicious pasta dish, but we give him expired ingredients, the result will be an unpleasant and potentially toxic meal. This isn't due to a lack of skill on the part of the cook, but to the poor condition of the ingredients. In the same way that a good chef takes care to choose the best raw materials to obtain a good dish, we must check the quality of our thoughts in order to have a full life.
Throughout history, many have meditated on this:
- Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "A man is what he thinks all the time".
- The Roman emperor, Marcus Aurelius, wrote: "Our lives are the product of our thoughts" and "The soul is tinged with the color of its thoughts."
- The author Norman Vincent Peale stated, "A man is not what he thinks he is, but what he thinks".
- And, numerous Biblical scholars agree with this advice, "Watch how you think, for your life is shaped by your thoughts".
You may have been ruled by the same ideas years ago. To have freedom you must believe that changing the way you think is a requirement to changing the way you live.
You will find in this book:
- How to transform your reality by changing the way you think.
- How to discover who you are in order to think properly.
- How to change your thoughts to do good.
- How to stop being reactive and take the initiative in inner change.
- How to get out of the current mentality to renew your thinking.
- How to put in «order» the mental «disorder».
- How to evaluate the veracity of a thought.
- How to respect yourself for the way you think.
- How to clean the thought.
- How to build a magnetic character through thought.
- How to cultivate thoughts of excellence for a satisfying life.
This is the time to begin your inner change. Take this guide, apply it to your thoughts and change your life.

Control Your Thoughts - Javi Martínez
CHAPTER 1:
FOR CHANGES TO OCCUR, YOU MUST CHANGE
The Bible teaches us in Romans 8:5 (NIV):
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
Thinking about what pleases God isn't automatic, it requires training, but achieving that transformation is the driver that will allow you to reach your destiny. A mind controlled by the Spirit of God is focused on His purposes and is free from being influenced by emotions or circumstances. It has a spiritual compass that always points in the right direction.
To renew the mind means to draw closer to God. To do this is to be influenced by his love. He renews our vision of the world, allows us to be interested beyond our own life, to perceive others' reality and envelops us in a compassionate attitude. Living with love thoughts, moves the focus from ourselves, from our tedious affairs and allows us to stop being indifferent in accompanying others.
You may have noticed from the above that renewing the mind through the power of God is a comprehensive renewal that encompasses our thoughts, our emotions and affects our actions. God deals with us in a deep way that fills us with well-being and prepares us to reach others' lives.
It's necessary to realize that we don't always have the right thoughts - and actions - because we often follow what the Bible calls the sinful nature.
Knowing this reality implies the responsibility to do something about it. Therefore, our work will be to deal with our thoughts in search of living the blessings that God has prepared for our mind. This work will show its fruits in our life, our environment and in the people around us.
We must make time to seek God. If our problem is that we think too much, dedicating time to this practice will help to stop the flood of thoughts that come into our mind. Seeking Him implies contemplating Him, perceiving Him, and for us He will intend for His mind to take shape in ours. The Bible says: And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit
(2 Corinthians 3:18, NIV).
It's a requirement to stop our hectic lives and endless responsibilities, to seek to conform our vision to God's vision. The effects of seeking God will not only be to rethink the content of our thoughts and our view of ourselves, but how we perceive the world. We'll be changed by God as we contemplate Him and reflect His thoughts and character. He'll make a radical change that will have a strong impact on our mind, leading us to see with his eyes in order to act according to his will.
Our understanding of our surroundings will be renewed, making our decisions and actions more appropriate. Because our influence is limited to who we are, the transformation of our mind will increase our influence on others with good.
Jesus was very successful in influencing and transforming. By observing how He acted, we know about God's mind. Daily He sought to be in the presence of the Father: "Very early in the
