Les Poemes Philosophique (Volume 1) - Ivan Kireevskii
the setting of the sun
slumbering…
submerged in a desire
having touched the roots
of conflict
a conflict between the doubt
and the genuine
the betrayed
and old forms destroyed
this, thy symptom
of imprisonment…
step forth
do not hide
remove your mask
the surface below
dissolves and melts
and fades away
clinging…
to weeds and trees
like a wrecking-crew
disassembling what you thought you knew
every idea
every assumption
walled in by mystery
legends turned to stone
lead you from the ghetto
to oblivion
its geometry and anguish
murdered by the sky
a language
of another tongue
its furious rhythm
lost in the vomiting crowd
where the light is buried
by noises and chains
this strange soul resides
in a space deep in my veins
a magnificent king
wanders untouched
standing desperate
a tangled beard stretched to the sea
a disenchanted world
a subtraction story
where fractured pillars
frame prospects of rock
assassin of reformers
and their sinister tricks
veiled behind meanings
arbitrarily assigned
the room
filled with suspicion
adapted to
the folds of the curtain
the absurdity of existence
at the fault line
of barbarism
go ahead… lift the veil
it precipitates
and it hardens
acquires angular
geometrical forms
in this…
the infinite of the rising
and the setting of the sun…
i saw no god
