    Last Call - Effren Bledsoe

    FOREWORD

Last Call are the two words you do not want to hear if you have a stressful day, missed the mark, or need to unwind. When you are chosen or placed in a leadership position, you have to equip yourself to lead those who whine and complain. A leader can’t be a whining personality. Whining and complaining may seem irrelevant on the surface, but those are characteristics of someone who does not add any value. They are a liability. The people were screaming at, whining, and complaining to Moses constantly. They were ungrateful and provided no options for moving the journey forward. Moses, in turn, whined to God and was told to choose seventy leaders to help bear the burdens of the people. You may have missed the Last Call when seventy whiners are called to help a whiner with many whiners. Do you need seventy reality checks of your inability to take the reins and run with it? Oh, what a journey the author will take you on, leaving you with the burning question, Have I missed my Last Call?

    INTRODUCTION

Have you ever felt a connection with some Biblical figure other than God? Like Abraham, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, or Moses, to name a few?

Well, I have with Moses. I have talked with him. I’ve had conversations with him. He has advised me regarding my latest decisions. I have never felt a stronger connection to Moses or God ever before. Yes, the Moses. And, again, I had conversations with him—more on that inside.

This book will outline my journey of starting the first cannabis bar in the US and eventually closing it down and how Moses and God played a crucial role in the happenings of this journey.

If you are an atheist or even an agnostic, you will disagree with what I have to say, but that doesn’t matter. This book is not supposed to change anyone’s beliefs on if God exists.

Even if you don’t believe someone created the Universe, I think you can still find value in this book because it also outlines the mistakes that I made and gives tips on how you can avoid them.

If you’ve ever felt called by God to do something big, something impactful, this could help you. We will go over how the cannabis industry works in the US and what challenges it faces. We will also go over how to manage the people in a company. How do you delegate properly? How do you build a team that wants to work toward your vision as a leader?

We will also touch on the importance of faith and why you need God, especially if you are an entrepreneur. One thing is clear. You will need support in life and business. That’s a fact. This is a game you can play alone. At some point, you will need support. Why not have an All-knowing, All-powerful, and Unfailing
