Matthew Grunder

My name is Matthew Grunder. For so long I have not had words to express myself. It all started back when I got off of active duty Navy in 2008. I took a chance and decided to take a bigger risk of entering the civilian world and continuing my Navy service in the reserve. The first thing I did was enrolled in college and get my first civilian job and started to adapt to yet another change in life. Meeting new people, developing my point of view of the world, and balancing my life were my next challenges. I worked hard and played hard. Sometimes I ran into some problems, but I met a man named Patrick Covington who was a great poet and served in the military. I became inspired to start my very own collection. I had no idea I would start a collection where I have written about, military, super heroes, love, religion, TDCJ, and positive messages. As the more poems, I wrote the more meaning the processed. I was inspired by typical everyday life so much my poems were telling almost a one hundred percent non-fiction story of my life.
