    Dedication:

I want to thank Dr. Sonnie Badu for inspiring me to write books about the Word of God and modern-day psychology. Because of him, I wanted to move forward into pastoring. I also want to thank my mom and family for coaching me to write daily. Thanks to them, I became much more invested in psychology and wanted to create a difference in the world. When I was just a young kid, I wasn’t too sure of where I wanted to go in my life, but because of my excellent teachers, I received reams of knowledge that will help change the world for the future generation.

Thank you, Dr. Sonnie Badu, Johane Harrigan, Master Sergeant Harris, Desears, Amari DVon Currie, and the teachers from Marshpoint Elementary, Coastal Middle School, Isle of Hope, and Dacula High School.

    Chapter 1

    What is Personal Potential?

As Society evolves, situations around us tend to be more present and frequent as we adjust ourselves. But as these situations arise, We adapt to these concepts and think about where we can grow frequently and be better. As a result, we are born with the unique ability to adjust and get mental strengths to benefit society and us. These thoughts revolve around a simple concept known as personal potential.

Personal potential is the possibility of becoming something more. sometime shortly.’ Another way to look at individual potential would be… coming to the self-realization that there is more to your life. The self-realization may be innate abilities, skills, and talents lying dormant within you, waiting to be developed.

People generally tell you that you’re naturally gifted with personal potential. Your true potential is supposed to be an activity that you can do amazingly with minimal effort. You’re always searching for a hobby that you think you’re good at with this perspective. You keep looking for this unknown nature’s gift.

You don’t know that personal potential has more to do with your mental strength than your so-called gifts. It is anything that you wish to be. Hence, even if others say that your fashion sense is terrible all your life, you can still end up being a successful fashion icon.

Personal potential can be achieved by learning or doing something such as watching and enjoying the sunrise, doing some early morning exercise for your fitness, working on a project just because it’s important to you before the day officially starts, etc.

As you do these things, you learn about your potential in doing things and making better decisions to increase your potential.

    Components of Personal Potential

There are several significant components for the potential to be adequately made, and there are shown below:

    Commitment

Commitment is the key to stepping and increasing your potential, both in life and business. When you venture into the unknown and commit to your business, you’re setting yourself on a path to learn and grow as an individual.

Commitment is about having the courage to go through the unknowns. And when you go through those unknowns, you learn. When you know, you develop capabilities that you would never be able to acquire through other means.

Those capacities then lead to confidence. That confidence then, in turn, leads to more commitment—and more capabilities, and more confidence …

Repeating this cycle repeatedly leads to massive success and results, especially in business.

The best part? Because this cycle is self-fulfilling, all you need to do is put in that first level of commitment. After that, it will compound upon itself, and you’ll start to see exponential growth across your life and business.

    Courage

Courage is essential to reaching your potential because courage is the secret sauce that allows you to act despite your fears. Courage gives you the ability to put aside your fear of failure and take the first steps. Courage helps you overcome the fear of rejection and engage your stakeholders. Courage allows you to attempt things you have not tried before, despite your fear of looking foolish.

Potential and talents are not the type that you need to wait for before they come to you. Instead, they are qualities that you build within yourself with hard and smart work. No magic wand brings out your inner potential except your own will.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean that you have to follow in another successful individual’s footsteps blindly. Yes, it’s always great to have some advice, but your potential and the path to it are probably different.

The key is to try understanding your potential instead of forcing something on yourself just because someone you know has managed to pull it off.

Personal potential can also be determined by your capacity or your general knowledge of the particular potential you are trying to reach. For example, you might complete your goals faster and learn more about yourself as you have this.

    How to Find Your Potential

The personal potential is all about hard work and strategy. Here are six tips that will guide you in finding motivation and putting it to good use.

    1. Identify Your Inner Voice

The first step towards success is to listen to yourself. Remember that you’re not looking for your potential here but only figuring out what you truly want in life.

Your potential is ultimately what you work for. Thus, it’s best to work for what you desire to enjoy the process.

Think of the things you enjoy or want to be good at. Do you aspire to be an artist, for instance? But, on the other hand, would you love to be a theater actor, even though you’ve never acted on stage before?

Please make a list of your desired wishes and then downsize it realistically. It matters to keep your inner voice in mind while doing so. Don’t aim for things that may improve your image in Society, bring you money, etc. Remember: your self-satisfaction needs to be a top priority.

Similarly, there’s a chance that you’re great at something but despise doing it. Say, people around you love your voice and are always ready to hear you sing. However, there’s a chance you hate it despite the elaborate appreciation. Things like this should also be noted down to recall that you want to stay away from them.

    2. Make Conscious Efforts

Once you’ve planned a suitable final destination, it’s time to make an effort.

I’ve said it before, and I repeat it: your potential will not come waltzing into your life. Instead, you have to work hard to get to it.

Understanding your potential requires conscious efforts in the right direction. It won’t just click one day randomly; you have to work to find the answers.

You may start experimenting now. For example, you know you want to have a law firm or own a restaurant. These are two very different career choices, so take small steps in one direction and figure out if this is something you’re willing to put your energy and time into.

For example, you try the former first since you can’t decide between being a chef or becoming a lawyer. Unfortunately, even after six months of showing consistent effort, you keep overcooking your food. When you ask your friends to taste it, they hardly ever give you positive feedback. Despite following the same recipe every time, your dishes taste different every time.

You’ve put in six months in this craft and tried hard enough to make a decent meal, but there’s no sign of improvement. So, of course, you need to take it as a sign that cooking is most likely not the right choice for you.

You can then work towards your other option. Discuss the situation with experienced lawyers, get internships, research it online, and determine whether you’ve got what it takes to build a successful law firm.

    3. Define Your Goals

SMART goals play an essential role in your life, especially when you want to accomplish something.
