Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. At the camp, I started to think about how all the broken tiles and pottery got there and somehow a trilogy got created. Moreover, I love writing fantasy and sci-fi novels because you’re only limited by your imagination. In addition, I'm was an Explorer Scout and I love camping, sailing and other outdoor activities as well as cooking.Furthermore, I do quite a bit of charity work as well. For example: in early 2018 I was a part of a youth panel which was involved in creating a report with research to try and get government funding for organised youth groups and through this panel. I was invited to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party and how some of us got in the royal photograph. Finally, I am going to university and I hope to get my doctorate in clinical psychology in a few years.

CITY OF SNOW
When the blade falls nothing can stop it,
-Unknown Master Assassin
Of all my missions for the Rebellion and their somewhat doomed, but extremely interesting mission to kill the Overlord and free the Kingdom, I have to admit this was the coldest mission. Yet it was certainly great fun and a story very much worth sharing.
Feeling the freezing cold air blow past me my body shivered and pulled the soft thick grey fur coat over myself some more. I was not catching a cold on a mission. That was not happening!
Looking around on top of the hard black slate roof of the City of Snow’s Church, I smiled as I saw the thick layers of bright white snow blanket the entire horizon. It was a complete blanket of solid snow. No bright green trees. No animals running around. Only complete icy, freezing cold snow.
Personally I had seen worse surroundings for a killing ground. This was not my ideal place because the snowy surroundings might prove to be dangerous for escaping. I would only need to get trapped under some snow, break an ankle on a tree root covered in snow for that to be true. I needed to be careful, very careful.
Turning my attention away from the surrounding areas, I managed to smell the sweet juicy scent of freshly cooking meat. Judging by the smell it could have been boar, lamb or maybe even Phoenix. (I hope not!)
Studying all the little wooden huts scattered throughout the entire city, I admitted there was a certain charm to this place with all the snow covered roofs and the tall chimneys piping out thick columns of black smoke. Which was probably why my target came here after evading me for a few months.
Noticing a few people in thick black fur coats in the streets, I listened to them laugh and chat as the wind howled past me. There were a lot of rich people here sadly, and that meant only one thing. Guards.
If it was one constant in my line of work is was whenever there were rich, spoiled people there were always Guards.
Unexpected development for sure.
Moving my hands to the hilts of my two longswords, I felt a little more at ease because I could easily kill posh, rich people and guards alike with these at my side.
Looking away from the little huts, which was presumably the area of the city where the commoners lived (and knowing how these Cities run were probably beated and enslaved), I studied my true target.
My eyes narrowed as I studied the massive solid marble building twenty metres from me. Its large black marble walls were too thick and way too high for me to climb or explode through.
I supposed a lot of people would have liked the beautiful carving of the Gods and Goddesses on the walls. I couldn’t care less. I was on a mission to free people and protect the innocent.
Focusing on the entrance and the land surrounding the marble building, which I do believe was a treasury of some sort, I shook my head. This wasn’t good as I noticed the immense cast iron, spiked fences around the Treasury were twenty metres from the main building and another ten metres from the nearest hut or building outside. I couldn’t jump that.
With my doubt increasing about the stealth of my mission, I needed to look at the entrance of the fences. Breathing in more of the sweet juicy meat filled air, I was very happy with the attention of the fence. It had ten black armoured guards with a sword each. Better yet the entrance didn’t look reinforced.
There was hope.
Thinking about the Rebellion’s request for a quiet assassination because apparently they needed this City of Snow for something, I almost laughed to myself. After all the missions I’ve done for them over the years. They must surely know by now they get what they’ve given.
I needed to move.
Jumping off the church roof, I landed elegantly on the street below with little huts lining it and the soft crunch of snow filling the street.
Walking with my grey fur hood over my face, I carefully made my way over to the treasury. The snow crunched under my feet as I moved.
