ANATOMOPHYSIOLOGY OF THE HEART
The heart is a muscular viscera that is responsible for maintaining blood circulation. has fourslarge chambers: two atria (left and right)and two ventricles (left and right). The right cavities are responsible for the minor or pulmonary circulation, that is, they receive venous blood from the tissues that have extracted their oxygen andthrough the venae cavae they send it to the pulmonary circulation through the pulmonary artery.¹
