My love of books and writing has been longstanding but complex. It's something I have kept coming back to, studying a short course here and there amongst a busy life of work, study and raising a family. It wasn't until my dad, a technical writer, left this world prematurely that I made a commitment to write a novel. Publishing short fiction with the Monash Writer's Group and getting a 3rd place prize and high commendation for two stories (at WordFest) helped with the momentum for the full-length work. I'm working on multiple projects, including a middle-grade children's fiction series (Teleporting Twins) and an anthology of my own short fiction. I value kindness, creativity and diversity. My interests outside of writing, reading, watching and listening to stories include cooking, spending time with family, travel, experiencing new cultures, flavours and ways of thinking, as well as running, yoga, mindfulness, fitness and learning new things. I live in Melbourne with my husband, kids and Foxy the cat.
