These words are being transmitted live into your brain via the magic powers of internet markup language.I'm not so much a science fiction writer but most of my book are scifi. I'm mainly interested in power, control, manipulation and authority and My future worlds are not so much dystopian but perhaps synetopian – a continuation of what we have now.I write with a dry humour. I'd like to think they're subtly dark, but idk, you have to be the judge on that. I'm full of disasters and my books are too.Based in London. At least 80 killed, 105 injured in terrorist bombing at Gainsborough shopping centre, London

    Saturday 11 June 2022

Police believe bombing was responsibility of a group of individuals who died during the attack

At least 80 people, including children, have been killed and 105 people injured in a suspected suicide bombing at a crowded shopping centre in London, the most deadly terrorist attack in the UK.

The horror unfolded about 2:30pm on Saturday, the busiest shopping day of the week.

The attack, which destroyed multiple levels of the building’s interior, left a scene of carnage and destruction, where medics described treating wounds consistent with shrapnel injury and acid burns.

The doors were sealed which prevented hundreds of people from fleeing the scene. One witness said he saw the entire upper floors cave in after an explosion. Families of those injured have said their relatives are undergoing life-saving surgeries.

Prime minister Jameson said: We are working to establish fully the details of what is being treated by the police as a terrible, terrifying attack. Our thoughts are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected.

The attack came just four days prior to the anniversary of the ‘lost soldier’ killing. Flags outside Downing Street are flying at half-mast.

The prime minister will chair an emergency meeting of the government’s crisis committee, Cobra, on Sunday morning.

The home secretary, Zuza Hoyle, paid tribute to emergency services, saying: This was a barbaric attack, deliberately targeting British people during a moment of relaxation and leisure. My thoughts and prayers go to the families and victims affected.

The Metropolitan police have confirmed that they believe the bombing was the responsibility of a small group who are well funded and highly experienced in terrorist activities, although which group is responsible is under investigation.

Commissioner Leslie Moore said: The extent of the explosion proves this wasn’t a home made device but a military grade bomb. Our priority is to establish which group is responsible and whether further attacks have been planned.

The investigation into the attack will involve the police counter-terrorism network and Britain’s domestic security service, MI5.

The death toll makes this the worst event of its kind in Britain since the 7/7 bombing in 2005, which hit London’s transport network, killing 52 people …

UK Police: 83 confirmed dead after terror incident at London Shopping Mall

At least 83 people are dead and 103 injured after a blast Saturday afternoon in the Gainsborough shopping mall in London, police say.

At a news conference Saturday evening, London’s Metropolitan Police Commissioner Leslie Moore said authorities are treating the explosion as a terrorist incident until they have further information.

This is the worst attack on the U.K. since wartime, said Moore. He also said there are children among the deceased.

Moore said a military grade explosive device was detonated, destroying the entire interior of the shopping mall, but leaving the exterior structure unharmed.

The Metropolitan police say more than 400 officers were deployed Saturday.

The White House says President Brandon is being kept up to date on the situation in London.

An emergency number was released for all those concerned about their loved ones or anyone who may have been in the area: 0161 856

Midway News can confirm the attack was conducted by three suicide bombers, according to two U.S. law enforcement officials. The movements of the group before the incident are as yet unknown. Investigators are tracing the bombers’ movements through CCTV.

Body parts of the suicide bombers have been recovered, Midway has learned.

A source also told Midway News one person was detained in a vehicle but it is not clear what, if any, involvement that potential suspect many have had in the incident …

London attack: 83 dead and 103 hurt in suicide bombing

    Monday 13 June 2022

Eighty-three people, including several children, were killed and 103 injured when three suicide bombers attacked a busy shopping centre in London.

A bomb was set off at around 14:45 BST on Saturday at the Gainsborough Shopping Experience. Jameson called the attack sickening.

Police are continuing their investigation but the group still have not been identified.

The Queen held a minute’s silence at Buckingham Palace at 18:00 BST.

Three victims have been named so far, the latest being 42-year-old Marvin Parker from Hackney, London.

Ten-year-old Lucy Upton was a pupil at the nearby Farley Primary school. Her head teacher, Mavis Atkinson, said she had been simply a charming and beautiful little girl, and added, Everyone loved her.

The wounded are being treated at several hospitals around London with 32 children under the age of 16 among them.

Reports from the survivors suggest the injury total was increased by a crush of people trying to escape from the east side entrance.

Several people are still missing, including teenagers Roger MacLeod, Susanne York, Chloe Carlton, Bethany Mewler and Toby Peaks.

Alexander Jameson said the London attack was sickening.

In a statement in Downing Street this morning, the prime minister said the bombing had been a callous attack on innocent, unsuspecting people, enjoying their leisure time. He said the security services believe they know the attackers’ identities but were not yet able to confirm them.

    ‘Intensive investigation’

The Rose understands the perpetrators were one of the terrorist organisations on the UK watchlist.

Metropolitan police commissioner Leslie Moore said the intensive investigation was now working to establish which group was responsible and whether they were acting with other groups in a network.

In its latest statement the Met said the area around the shopping centre remained cordoned off but said it wanted to remind people that London will not be defeated – the city is safe and open for business.

    In other developments:

Relatives are using social media to hunt for missing loved ones, and an emergency number – 1800 161 – has been set up

Flags are flying at half mast outside Number 10

Alexander Jameson chaired a meeting of the government’s emergency Cobra committee and has visited some of the hospitals treating the wounded …

    #MicroFiction

[The scientists in this story are both dudes. They are the kind of cliche scientists in old movies.]

We’ve successfully reconstructed a computer simulation of the dinosaur’s vocal cords. Dr Mathers looked uneasily at Professor Shakes. Shakes sensed there was something about this achievement he wasn’t going to like.

Well? said Shakes. What have you found?

Well … let me reassure you our methods were sound – no pun intended. Mathers let out a nervous giggle to Shakes’ cold impatience. I mean, we reconstructed a model of the vocal cords using vast amounts of data. The chances of inaccurate findings are incredibly slim.

We tested our approach on the bones of several species of living animals, continued Mathers, and successfully replicated the exact sounds of lizards, mammals, and birds.

Yes, said Shakes. I’ve read your research. It is very impressive and meticulously conducted. You don’t need to explain this to me.

Oh but I feel I do, said Mathers. You see the vocal cords were built from fossil scans and dietary knowledge. DNA reconstruction was used and they were cross-checked with various similar living species.

    Dennis Fletcher

Yes, I know! barked Shakes. I know all this!

I mean, said Mathers, the chance of success is 99.9999 recurring %. A very slim chance we are wrong.

Shakes caught on. He looked a little sick. I think you need to play me your findings.

    Yes, said Mathers, Just–

    Dennis Fletcher

    Play it! demanded Shakes.

Dr Mathers played his computer model which performed the territorial call of the male polyodon. Professor Shakes listened carefully.

What do you think? said Mathers.

Shakes looked shaky. It … its sounds like … a trombone.

Yes, said Mathers, in fact the call is almost identical to the first few notes of the Jonny Briggs theme tune.

    Jonny who?

    Dennis Fletcher

Don’t you remember? It’s an old kids’ TV show from the 80s

I’m not sure I know it.

The two men stood in silence.

I’ve thought about this for a long time but I really believe #insects are from another planet.

Think about it. That’s why they look so #alien.

It don’t make sense that they’re native to #earth.

    Nailz

@Water She Girl Apart from fossil and evolutionary evidence pointing to the contrary and absolutely NO evidence to back up your claim – I think you might have something.

    D-Luxe

@Nailz Loooool! Yes, she’s got something alright. Question is, is it contagious?!! @Water She Girl

    AngL

@Water She Girl What the fuck are you taking about? Why would them looking strange to you mean they’re from another planet. You fucktoid. @D-Luxe @Nailz

    Water She Girl

@AngL @D-Luxe @Nailz Look, you believe what you want, I’ll believe what I want. But if insects are from earth how come some have wings but still have six legs, yet birds and bats have wings instead of arms? Insects don’t follow the pattern.

    Nailz

@Water She Girl What are you talking about? Who says all animals evolve in the same ways? That’s like saying platypuses lay eggs when they should give birth to live young therefore they’re from space. Are you saying that too?

And what about bats? No other mammal can fly. Are bats from space too? @D-Luxe @AngL

    Water She Girl

@Nailz Look I don’t like you attacking me for my beliefs. I have a right to my opinions. @D-Luxe @AngL
