Dublin: Violent disorder after girl, 5, in emergency care among five injured in knife attack near school
Violent disorder broke out in Dublin on Thursday evening after five people including three young children were injured in a knife attack in the city centre.
Rioters clashed with gardai, vehicles were torched, shop windows smashed and lootIng took place close to where the earlier attack occurred in the Irish capital.
The angry scenes were sparked by the stabbings in Parnell Square East, shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday in scenes a witness called "absolute bedlam".A man, woman, and three young children were taken to hospital after being attacked outside a school, the Garda said.
A girl aged five and woman in her 40s were seriously injured while two other children, aged five and six, and a man in his 50s were being treated for less serious injuries. The Garda said knife wounds had been inflicted
