About this ebook

Getting shot makes you do stupid things like confessing your love for your best friend. Is chancing 15 years of friendship worth the risk of exploring what could be?
Chasing bad guys was what they do. So raiding a human trafficking ring should be a walk in the park. Well, except for getting shot that is. Ignoring basic protocol to save your partners life is also a huge problem.
However, seeing the love of your life—even if he doesn’t know it—bleed out in front of you will cause quite a panic. When his straight partner whispers “I love you,” before passing out Stark can’t believe his ears.
Three days is a long time to think on three little words. Was he delirious when he whispered those them? Did he mean it in the most platonic way? Or can it mean that Stark’s dreams will finally come true?
Most Wanted Love is a bonus novella in the Eclipsed series that takes place between books two and three. While each book can be read as a standalone it is best if they are read in order, starting with book one, Classified Lovers.

Reading has always been a passion of mine. In middle and high school, I would participate in the summer reading programs at the local library, often winning many prizes. My mom called me a hermit because I’d rather be in my room reading a book than outside or with my friends. I discovered my love for books in high school also extended to plays; thus, my passion for theatre was born. My favorite was working behind the scenes, creating colorful lighting effects.I followed my passion in college and obtained an associate’s in theatre arts. I also wrote short stories and fan fiction (don’t judge). While I loved the theatre, I quickly learned that it wasn’t practical to do for a living unless I got a break. So, I studied web and graphic design and did theatre as a hobby. Four years later, I had a bachelor’s in information technology, followed by a master’s a couple of years later. Today, I work as a system administrator in a NOC (network operations center), where I monitor my companies’ network for server issues. Since a NOC is 24x7, I work in 12-hour shifts, giving me literally half the month off to work on my hobbies. In 2019, I decided I would write again. My kids were finally old enough I could concentrate more on my hobbies than theirs. I published my first book, A Spy and his SEAL, at the end of August. I design the covers for my books.I learned long ago. I enjoy reading all kinds of romances, straight, gay, bisexual; it doesn’t matter. My favorite being gay paranormal. Nothing beats a delightful book about fated mates, shifters, and male pregnancy. Another top pick of mine is action/suspense romance. What’s better than falling in love while dodging bullets and saving lives? As for my personal life, I am a cisgender straight woman. I am married to a wonderful man who supports me for my weird habits and interests. He is a stay-at-home dad taking care of our enby and two sons. When I’m not working, I’m reading, writing, playing video games, or watching my favorite dramas.

    Stark,

You have always had my back since we went through the FBI academy all those years ago. I have loved you since then, but too scared to do anything about it until now. I am so glad we finally fell into bed together.

    Chapter 1

    Rogers

    "G

o, go!" Agent Wu said into our earpieces.

A split second later, the SWAT team was ramming the door next to me. I stood to the right, waiting to lead the raid. Behind me was the local FBI SWAT, made up of men I didn’t know, not my partner. I understood why Wu split us up, but I didn’t have to like it. She wanted both of us leading SWAT on our tail so we could be sure that no one got away and nothing was leaked. Since Stark and I were the senior Special Agents, that was our job.

As soon as the door opened, I used hand signals to lead everyone inside. Stark’s team was going in the front while I oversaw the back area. The door led into a hallway where other doors were placed on both sides every few feet. From past experiences, I knew this was where purchasers took their new merchandise after the auction. I breathed through my mouth, trying to block out the smell of sweat and sex that flooded my nose. I hated this part of the job, but we knew what we’d signed up for when we signed on with Agent Wu and the CARD team. So I knocked down doors and tracked down the worst pedophiles to bring kids home at night. It was never pretty, but someone had to do it.

When Stark and I met at the academy, I had just finished college and he was fresh out of the military. We never imagined that we would have been partners all these years later, let alone on the CARD team. Usually, our team worked out of the Chicago office, but we traveled wherever we were needed. When Agent Wu got notified of six missing children found all at once in our own backyard, she jumped at the chance to step in and help. The local detective, Calvin Cain, had surprised us all. By the time we had gotten there, his CIA white hat hacker and soon-to-be boyfriend Zak Zaccagnino was already digging through a thumb drive. We were even more surprised when the sleepy town uncovered a nationwide child trafficking ring led by a CIA mole. The raid we were on now resulted from the operations uncovered. Zak and Cal helped us take out two auctions in their area. After those two operations, they focused their work on tracking down the mole while Wu, Stark, and I set up stings to take down the other rings.

I cautiously made my way through the back-entrance hallways, opening up each room I came across before moving to the next. So far, the rooms had been empty, thank God. That was the worst, seeing these assholes taking advantage of the kids they purchased. Before I could get to the next door, I heard a scuffle at the end of the hall and several shots fired.

Fuck! I looked at the person closest to me and said, You, with me. The rest of you, clear these rooms.

Yes, sir, a chorus of voices rang out.

The SWAT member I had pointed out followed me as I hurried down the hall with my gun drawn. I peeked around the corner to see my best friend in the entire world lying on the ground. Between us, a man ran towards me with a gun. Thank God my training overrode my instincts to get to my best friend’s side.

Federal Agent. Freeze, I said, pointing the gun at that man running.

He skidded to a halt before bringing his weapon up to fire. I didn’t hesitate, shooting twice. The man dropped to the ground. I ran to him and kicked his gun away before continuing to my partner. We’d accumulated several gunshot wounds over the years, but mostly we’d always been protected by our vests or, at the very worst, superficially
