Lone Wolf - Sachin Raina
Chapter 1
It's an early sunrise in the city of Hutton ironically enough in mid-November. Hutton is a homely city with coast near its east end and a line of cheap meal restaurants along the coast. The rays sparkling over cold water make an imaginary figment of graphics and the reflection of light from corn fields create a superlative experience for a morning. At some distance the tourist bus honking continues as it struggles to find some parking space. This place can’t be called a culinary tourist spot but every year it entertains and surprises a lot of tourists especially near the harvest festival. Either that or people visit as it has a connecting port to major cities. As the tourists exit the bus in a steady pace, the restaurants are getting ready to welcome them. Out of the tourists, only one girl didn’t punch the return ticket. Maybe a first look of Hutton impressed her quite a bit. She seemed an educated civilian by her get up as she tries to pick the right spot for her breakfast very intently. Since the bus had a continuous trip of twelve hours tourists were on their lighter stomachs and desperate to get their hands on some food.
Tourist (girl): Excuse me! Can I have a table for one?
Chris: Absolutely, I will get you set right away. May I know your name?
Tourist (girl): It’s Madeline.
Chris: Please come with me. I will take you to your table.
Madeline: Thank you!
After sometime Chris, the owner of Sundance restaurant went over to acknowledge the new girl which he found attractive at first instance.
Chris: How was the Salad?
Madeline: Pretty good.
Chris: Are you visiting someone? How long are you in Hutton?
Madeline: I am planning to stay here. It seems a nice place. Is it?
Chris: I love it here. You will too.
Deep down Chris was hiding his feelings, seemed like he found the newbie attractive.
Chris: Where are you planning to stay?
Madeline: I am sorry. I feel little uncomfortable discussing this with a stranger I met few moments ago.
Although Chris was disheartened but he didn’t back off. He offered to take her bags near the ferry station. There was an island half an hour travel from Hutton called The Hunley and it seemed Madeline had decided to pick that part to stay.
There was a one-sided spark between the two but both had some doubts about each other maybe it was probably because they just met and felt like connected too soon but Chris knew he was going to meet her soon as most of the people residing in Hunley often come to the part of town where he was residing for shopping in You-Shop mart, the only mart in the city of Hutton. So far things were looking good for Madeline since she got a good deal for a cottage in Hunley. As she was on the ferry, she admired view along with the clean air. Meanwhile ferry reached Hunley and as Madeline stepped out from the ferry, she heard a loud siren increasing in decibels. The coast guard boats moved one after another. One could see
