About this ebook
Justin James tells a traumatic story of being victimized. When inner strength fails, and the pieces of body, soul and spirit must be mended, an angel is needed. One random act of kindness brings together two people, allowing the healing process to begin and a new story to unfold.

From reading manuscripts to mainstream published works of both my own authors and those of other mainstream publishing houses, I love to be lost in the authors mind. The beauty of the written word is to not only entertain, but provide the reader with a fantasy world to be enveloped in, that is what I look for in both a personal read, and a manuscript.Although most people will know me from my numerous Covers adorning the books of so many talented authors, I have also reviewed and interviewed some of the best authors in many genres including; Michelle L Montgomery, Geoffrey Knight, and G. B Hobson.I have also been lucky enough to have reviewed and interviewed some very well known mainstream international bestselling authors such as; Jodi Picoult, Traci Harding, and Jennifer Fallon.I class myself as a creative person who will try anything once, from creating a cutting edge logo design, to building a beautifully functional website; from inventing that perfectly sensual cover, to putting together the interior design of a hair salon. There is nothing that myself as CEO, and Dare Empire as a company cannot do, if your project requires creativity, we have it!

BROKEN DREAMS
JUSTIN JAMES
PART ONE
FEBRUARY 2002
Toby
A life, when all is said and done, is measured by the amount of happiness that a person has experienced, or accumulated. That’s what I’ve always believed. I'm a 29-year-old gay man in a relationship that should have ended years ago. Somehow, being in an unhappy relationship seems better than being completely alone; or maybe it’s not that I think it’s better, just easier, and more convenient. I know I should leave, or be left. It’s times like this that I come to this desolate place. It’s as if this place reflects my feelings, and therefore, when I’m in this state of mind, it seems homely. Sadly, I’m more often here than at the place I call home.
I stroll endlessly up and down these shores, the shores of this beach of broken dreams. This place, where every tree that ever wanted waterfront exposure has been quickly clawed into the ocean by the relentless tides. Now, all I can see are the sorry trunks and limbs of the victims reaching up out of the water into the sky; reaching for a helping hand that will never come. The grey sand never seems to move, held in a death grip by the blood-red seaweed that litters the shore. It seems this place is in constant slow motion, so surreal, and yet oddly comforting to me. Something needs to change, Toby, I think to myself.
Life cannot go on this way.
I say to no one.
The thought struck me, there is absolutely no one around today. Although this particular beach is hardly the attraction of this quiet town, Somerset is renowned for a high holiday population. Yet today the whole coastline is clear of people— no beachcombers and no swimmers. The near breathtaking icy wind coming off the bay
