About this ebook

The hope of this work is to simplify the process of African American reformation. This plainly means the rebuilding of their societies. Among them there are diverse views of what to do and what is important to do. Some decisions have already been made for this article. The first is, African American society must be reorganized if they are to survive. We are talking about society not the individuals. Individuals can survive anywhere, in Germany, China, Pakistan, etc. Despite this, we feel, a society of their kindred and culture is the best place for individuals to survive. Hence the thrust as said above.

Humanity has made much progress, including in social affairs. This is impressive, so much so, it overwhelms some people's judgment, they think the millennium has arrived. They begin to advocate individualism or versions of it. All such have been carried away and have forgotten that human beings are animals, and most of their achievements are to satisfy their animal drives. When we contrast this with the "spiritual" achievements, we see that those come through deprivation and sacrifice, not the glory of conquering nature, science, or men. This leads us to believe there will be a contradiction in all physical benevolence, from friend or foe.

After making the decision to reform, there will be naysayers and "Luke-warm" participants. We should waste no energy on them, their beliefs mean they have no direction, no zeal, no hope in themselves. We only need to "keep the faith" and preserve the organizations. They will die and the organizations will induct their children.

We cannot, under any circumstances, abandon our own good to anyone. Rather, all humanity must strive together towards the good; together.

Faith and the African American conundrum

The language of equality has enabled the catch phrases of the age, they are on every one’s lips. Through this artifice, all the underprivileged now claim their birthrights. The outcomes remain unequal with the African American and others in their social diaspora, represented on the lower rungs of most social metrics. Equality does not come to them easily. It is no wonder then, that philosophies that emphasize parity, fairness, common justice, universal rights, etc. have a strong appeal in their communities.  The hope is that through the combined efforts of all the world, there will be no social bottom, no top, and the issue that divest only on those at the bottom, to get off the bottom, would be no more. An endearing concept, which is fully legitimized by recent western trends, communal restructuring and corresponding propaganda. Over the last five hundred years, by pronouncements and allusions, the European master has promised his African servant parity and the latter lives with that expectation. In that, there is a conundrum. He who has power to give equality, is not equal by default. Those of us who champion the cause of the African American must first accede to one of several futures. That the whole world will accept the liberal movements of the West Europeans and we are saved, or they will not and we must reform ourselves to beat the competition. This is the dividing line among us. On one side are those who are trusting to the continued powers of the master and see no need of an African American sociology. On the other side, we believe, much about the coming years is uncertain but the age of Columbus and those rickety ships that overran the world; is over. It shall be a melee, those who has no direction are in trouble.  Our immediate tasks are to restructure our internal functionalities for success and simultaneously link up with the main population of our people in Africa. The role we play in our success is indispensable and the mechanisms we envisage here are the means via which we assert out contributions.

Carrying the project to fruition, across centuries, shall require considerable faith. Faith is at the heart of Christian methodology and their material, philosophical and scientific achievements in global history, remains unmatched. African Americans are Christians too and we participate in the success, though involuntarily. As we stride to change our status in the western world there is wisdom in using the advantages that we have, established among us, and not seek to develop or use untried ones. The most striking exposition concerning the power of faith is over two thousand years old and says, if your faith be as small as a mustard seed, you may yet move mountains. The practice by the master and his disciples, has much of the world still enthralled, after these many years. As a rule, the more sophisticated our lives become, the more we rely on faith. In contrast to this, it is the more certain we are, that we do not need faith.  This is because in childhood, mostly in school, we are inducted into beliefs about unseen things and to use tools and methods that were developed by people of great faith and thereafter take them for granted. As a result, not only slightly educated people but leading thinkers, sees no nexus between Christianity and the world it created. But for a little faith, all the major civilizations of the past, had our modern science and technicalities within their reach.

The exacting scientific and technical wizardry of the twenty first century grew from a number of small resolutions among thinkers of sixteenth and seventeenth century Europe. In earlier European history, renown Greek philosophers and experimenters had tackled the same topics, but their conclusions did not change the world, and no one suggest it was for a lack of genius.  The names of Zeno, Parmenides, Hero, Plato and others are still invoked at the highest academic levels on account of their thinking over two thousand years earlier. As students and technical practitioners wield mathematical tools to manipulate infinitesimals and infinities, it is understandable that they do not need to know the chemistry that bought them into existence any more than carpenters need to know the chemistry that produced the steel of their tools. We will find, along these lines of thought, that the main differences between advanced and primitive peoples, is that the latter lacks some critical beliefs. As we communally climb the ladder of scientific advancement, we pile up beliefs that the average individual cannot substantiate, they proceed by faith.

It should be clear that at some point in the human evaluation of nature, some decisions that turned out to be critical, were taken on faith not logic and the results are later rationalize. We are at such a critical juncture, to be or not to be. To emerge as the major civilizing influence of the twenty first century and beyond. Nothing less is worth the effort. To hold the belief that the African American peoples shall match and exceed all human achievements to date and transcend our beginnings to become the wonder of the world. The scientific method of proceeding is key, and it is not secret but plain for all to see. Yet it is amazing, how many learned Black individuals believe that there is a version for them and their kin, that it come down from God in their bloodline. The first principle of science is: speak the truth. Investigate and report what you see. Speculate as much as you like but do not report it as truth. Anyone who has his own truth is mistaken.  The faithful have always insisted, You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.  This is how the kookie crumbles. Who knew? When they asked the master, What is truth?, he had no answer. That is not a particular question, but we have the actual experience daily, of being freed from thousands of constraints, large and small, by some simple truths. The truth is the evidence in every case.

The African American population inherited Christian civilization, and struggle for life from within. They are a new people, created by the process of industrialization and the political machinations of the times, an unintended offspring. By default, they do not have the responses that were developed by other communities over the preceding two thousand years. Their references are all skewed and socializing with the world’s most progressive people, complicate and mask the reality. This makes the situation very difficult to manage: lately coming out of physical bondage with the whole world in transition, as all the defeated peoples scramble to reassert their greatness. To the activists frantically expending their lives in the quest of justice, an age has passed with little success. They are unduly concerned but more important than visible progress is getting the analyses right and making an enduring synthesis. The life of communities’ cycle in centuries not decades. We are involved in a long-term affair, irrespective of how much we would like it to be over. We are at the beginning; this is a unique position to craft an enduring future for ourselves. The rest of the world comes into the agenda because we are inseparable from the west Europeans, and they are engaged in a long-term project of world domination.

The miseries that accompanied the rise of Christian civilization from Elizabethan sociology to present day cosmopolitanism were experienced on all sides, in and out of their communities. The scientific method does not allow us to choose the evidence that is the same as falsification.  Some analysts claim that violence is the main characterizing feature of their ethos but that is a myopic view. Similar horrors were committed by all conquerors but in this case, they were recorded and were unchristian. This amounts to open, public, self-contradiction, a strong community conscience that initiated many moral struggles and through these struggles we have arrived at the contemporary outlooks and prospects in the western world. The vibrant community
