I was born in the island of Trinidad and Tobago, west indies. I grew up with humble beginnings. From my early childhood my siblings and I had to go to church. I went to all Catholic schools, and while I thank God for a religious upbringing and good values, I needed to be born again. At age 27 I was invited to an Open Bible church where I experienced what it means to be born again. I repented of my sins and gave my heart and life to Jesus Christ. From then to now, I do my best to follow the path that God has laid out for me. God has been good to me and my family. I have seen his miraculous power in my life and the lives of many family members. I know God to be my healer, deliverer, provider, protector, friend and all that I need. He has never failed me yet. He is my all sufficient, all knowing and wise God. I am a registered nurse and an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, USA. My desire and passion are to see others come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe that the Bible is God's written word and is Spirit and Life. I have seen God's miraculous power as I pray his word over people. I have seen cancer healed, blind eyes open, demonic spirits manifest and leave, lives radically changed, and marriages healed to name a few. I will like my readers to know the God of the Bible. God is good and wants to do you good, not punish you and send you to hell but to save you and give you a better life. Put your trust in Him.

Midnight Is Coming - Claudette M. Guevara

    CHAPTER 1:

    THE KINGDOM OF GOD

    T

HE KINGDOM OF GOD WAS ALWAYS SOUGHT OUT BY MANKIND. GOD revealed himself in several dispensations to mankind. The seven dispensations are innocence, conscience, civil government, promise, law, grace and kingdom. In innocence, God placed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and gave them a specific command, Do not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil for when you eat you will surely die (Genesis 2:17). This command they disobeyed. Up to that time man was innocent and walked with God in the cool of the day. The only job they had was to upkeep the garden. How wonderful that would have been for us today if we did not have to work as hard as we do.

The dispensation of innocence lasted about 33 years (Genesis 1-3). Adam and Eve had fellowship in the Garden of Eden with almighty God. They were in a state of innocence. It is recorded that Satan, the devil, tempted them to disobey God and in so doing they sinned. God banished them from the garden which they once enjoyed, but it was God's original intention that man would live forever on earth. After Adam and Eve were banished from the garden, a curse came upon them and the human race, so that by the sweat of their brow they had to eat bread. That meant hard labor which you and I are doing until this day.

After the dispensation of innocence, God dealt with mankind according to their consciences (Genesis 3:6 – 7:33). This dispensation of conscience lasted about 1,623 years. Mankind grew very wicked. Their hearts turned to evil acts, but God found a righteous man named Noah. God saved Noah's family from the destruction of the earth by flood. The rest of mankind who were disobedient to God were swept away in the deluge. Flagrant disobedience of nations and disregard to God's order always end in judgment.

The dispensation of civil government lasted approximately 429 years (Genesis 8:20-11:9), During this dispensation, human intelligence was at work. Man grew arrogant and tried to build a tower to reach up to heaven. God stopped them by confounding their language. Yes, God made man with great intelligence. The Bible declares that he made man in his own image and likeness (Genesis 1:27). We do have God potential but we are not gods. Mankind is always subject to a higher being. It is no marvel that man walked on the moon, built airplanes, steam ships, discovered electricity, built computers that can link the world together in nano seconds just to name a few of man's super inventions.

After the deluge, God promised that no longer will the earth be destroyed by flood. The dispensation of promise lasted for 430 years (Genesis 11:9-Exodus 19). God found a man called Abraham. Abraham was a man of great faith. His faith was credited to him as righteousness. God made him a promise that he would bless the nations of the earth through him and from the descendants of his son, Isaac, Messiah would come. Abraham became the father of the Jews and ultimately the spiritual father of Gentile believers in Christ, fulfilling the promise, Your descendants will be as the stars in the sky (Genesis 26:4).

Many years after the death of Abraham, his descendants were in Egypt due to a famine in the land of Canaan. They eventually became slaves in Egypt. God raised up Moses, a deliverer and he brought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand. God gave Moses ten commandments and the laws by which they should live. The dispensation of law lasted approximately 1524 years (Exodus20- Luke16:10). The law became tedious and mankind fell into apostasy and
