About this ebook
Poetic Pete
Poetic Pete, a.k.a. Peter Karplus, author of Dancing with Fear, Rejection, Doubt, and Hope, born and raised in California, has had to live with Cerebral Palsy since birth and suffers from Epilepsy. He finds poetry to be a versatile tool in expressing his thoughts and feelings. Moreover, verse unleashes his quick intelligence, which goes unseen by strangers, because of their first impressions from his slow speech, poor coordination, and bent “book cover” body. Peter’s range of personal experiences, knowledge, and understanding bring a distinctive and perceptive special sensitivity, and sense of fun or folly to his poetry. Also available by this author: www.karplus.net – Dancing With Fear, Rejection, Doubt and Hope.

About The Author
Thank You to all the pivotal people in my life:
My father and mother for enriching my soul, widening my intelligence, and nurturing my heart, and enlightening my knowledge of how to understand people who do not understand me due to my physical drawbacks.
My brother, Richard, The Jovial Giant,
for all his support and help in bringing this book to fruition.
Debra Stevens, who encouraged me to publish my first book, Dancing with Fear, Rejection, Doubt and Hope.
A woman, my ex, the cause of my old worn out shoe
feeling in my life who will never know what she had, and threw away. This I’m Sure Of.
Dr. James Daley, The Royal Hillbilly,
a former Instructor of Psychology with whom I had the honor of working at Diablo Valley College. May he rest in peace.
Curtis and Ossie, Mr. Snow White
and The Man of Os,
bus drivers who always leave me smiling.
The Martinez Copper Skillet Crew — Delin, Tori, Aleen, Jack, and others — who keep me running on a full tank.
And, Myra, Water’s Daughter,
a true mermaid, in heart and soul, if ever I did see one.
Thank You, all.
