Introduction
Hello everyone–participants, parents, and students! After several months of active preparation, the 2021 International Cultural Exchange and the International Environment Protection Awareness Conference was successfully held from 7/31/2021 to 8/1/2021. Congratulations to everyone for successfully completing the esteemed 2021 International Conference!
Totalling over 240 participants, the conference had speakers from more than 40 different cities in countries across the world, including the United States, China, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
The 2021 Youth International Cultural Exchange Conference involves discussion of various cultures and their intertwining relationships. Our speakers spoke on topics from art to education. The conference is dedicated to improving global youth education and exchanges between different cultures. In addition to three keynote speakers, we also had a team of alumni from prestigious academic institutions who answered popular questions about the university application process and experience. We also had seven student speakers from different backgrounds, who discussed intriguing topics such as the art of moving and high school jazz.
The 2021 Youth International Environmental Protection Awareness Conference, a similar cultural exchange conference, contained an impressive lineup of guests, expert group members, and ten student speakers. They discussed environmentally friendly diets, air pollution, elephant protection, biodiversity loss, and much more.
We would also like to thank the participants for their dedication and our parents for their hard work and support, especially the parents of our students who organized this conference. Without everyone’s efforts, we could not have had such a successful meeting. Thank you everyone!

African Americans’ Contribution to the Arts During Uncertain Times
I wanted to talk about the contributions from African Americans to arts and culture from post-slavery time or during reconstruction to the present. I think it’s really important to do that so we can understand how we got to where we are today. We all see the contributions of African Americans in American culture today, from singing to dancing, to what we see on TV and online. I wanted to make the connection to talk about the history of our contributions through the last two centuries.
So, you know when we were enslaved people in America, many of our cultures and our traditions were stopped, and they weren’t allowed during the time of slavery. And, it was a secret thing in many ways that we had to sing and dance together, usually on Sundays, because the only day off was Sunday. So, we still figured out ways to communicate through music and dance on the plantation.
So if we fast forward a little bit, after reconstruction, this is an early photo from Congo Square in New Orleans, which speaks to one of the forms of music that we created, which was Jazz music, which was inspired from African music also. This is one of the earlier photos from the 1920s that speaks to Jazz. In New Orleans, before it went to New York City, before it migrated to Chicago, Memphis, Tennessee,
