Liberty wept as she stood on the shores of Australia. The current leaders and experts cast her out of the country. The rulers extended their administrative powers and functions into all social, economic, and cultural life realms. Instead of using violence, the leaders relied primarily on propaganda via repetition. Using the media, the leaders insisted on specific phrases and warnings, and images repeated repeatedly. The people surrendered Liberty to the rulers who expelled her from their country.

No longer hearing the cries for her, Liberty turned and left Australia, just as she had left Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Months later, Liberty sighed heavily. She listened to TV journalists Carter Baldwin and Jeff Morgan of ABN One.

There needs to be a more concerted effort to get people vaccinated, said Carter Baldwin. People need to be told they are not only killing themselves, but they are killing others. You have to tell people if they don’t get vaccinated, you can’t work in this office. If you don’t get vaccinated, you can’t come into this gym or get on this plane. This has nothing to do with liberty or freedom.

I agree, said Jeff Morgan. You don’t have the freedom to put other people in jeopardy.

There need to be rules in place that will demand people get vaccinated. You have to have certain rules in a society if we are all going to continue living and keeping each other alive. You cannot be that selfish and quite frankly that ignorant.

I think the dynamic in terms of the politics has to flip from this tyranny of the minority, the unvaccinated to the vaccinated. The majority of Americans are vaccinated. Democrats, independents, Right, Left, reasonable, Red and Blue states, every face and every race. The majority of us are vaccinated. Who’s speaking for them?

    Yep, said Carter Baldwin.

What about their freedoms? Jeff Morgan asked.

There is only one group of people out there saying you don’t have to do it or whatever, and that is conservatives, added Carter Baldwin. "Don’t get the vaccine; you can’t go to the supermarket. Don’t get the vaccine can’t go to the ball game. Don’t get the vaccine; you can’t go to work. That’s where we should be right now. Ellen Olsen of Buddies fame says she has cut off those who haven’t been vaccinated against the virus. She says it’s a moral obligation to receive the shot and announce vaccination status."

The grainy image of Ellen Olsen appeared on the screen. There’s a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame. People need to care about one another and get vaccinated.

I agree with Ellen Olsen, said Carter Baldwin. If your family members or friends aren’t vaccinated, cut them off. If grandma isn’t vaccinated, tell her she can’t see her grandkids. That’s where we should be right now. If we don’t, the number of cases will continue to climb, especially with the omega variant running rampant. I, for one, will not be inviting unvaccinated relatives over for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Liberty wanted to cry as she draped the Betsy Ross flag over her slumped shoulders. After the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, she never thought she would see her beloved country walk down the road of
