High Hopes

A plethora of poetry I lay at your feet,

with really high hopes you’ll find them all neat.

Hold them and read them, judge if you will;

just always remember that they’re honest, humble,

and done with the best of my skills.

Truth Revealed

Some people call me a poet and they’re depending on me

to write them a poem, whatever it might be.

Sooner or later, it appears on the page;

words have been
