About this ebook

Here you will find a veritable garden of verse, with variety extraordinaire. These poems are sometimes serious, at other times silly. Some are profound while others are a bit perverse. But the glory of this volume, the 24 Sonnets after Shakespeare, plumb the heights and depths of the emotions of love and hatred, and touch on the themes of loyalty and loss. A collection of verse not to be missed.

    La Femme la plus belle

Your beauty exceeds that of a thousand whispering winds

And it shall be whispered: Your beauty comes from within

Then may it be blazoned forth: You are more beautiful than all the winds!

Your beauty exceeds that of a thousand fields of flowers

As a flower’s bloom opens, so blossoms your quiet inner power

Then shall it be shouted: You are more beautiful than all the flowers!

Your beauty exceeds that of a myriad straggling streams

As it’s the essence of many a dream

Then shall it be said: Stand Proud, Thy Beauty! For it cannot be Unseen!

Your beauty outshines us all as the brightest of suns!

In your presence we are mere worshipful
