Road To Financial Freedom Before 30 - Faith Amadi

    INTRODUCTION

Are you learning or did you learn about personal finance in college? Are you or were you taught about Credit or debit cards, Investing, or Money Management? Or the only thing you are doing or were doing is studying the courses that are mandatory for you to graduate? It is overwhelming, stressful, and scary having to make really big decisions.

For most people, these classes are/were more or less pointless; Calculus, astronomy, anthropology, or any other classes being taught in our colleges/universities. Since I graduated from college, I am so disappointed in how much information was not included in my studies. We are told since we are young, ‘get educated, get a job and all will be going forward life.’ unfortunately, with this system being brainwashed to us, the truth is, it is not that simple. For one to succeed in this world, one needs to be literate about money and how it works. This is not taught in the schools we are in so you have to self-educate yourself about it.

Truth be told, everyone even the ones in their 30s and 40s made bad decisions with their; finances, relationships, food choices and so many other things in their 20s. No one is perfect and no one has everything figured out in their life since all of us will have to stumble once in a while to learn. In our 20s, we are going to make so many bad decisions and at the same time the best decisions, in regard to our: career choices, relationships, our bodies, food choices, and money earned. Some will scar us for life and others will end up following us in a way that is good and a way that is bad. So take each lesson learned and build a beautiful foundation for your life and do not be stuck on the past mistakes made.

Entering your 20s is like being thrown into a big world with all the responsibilities that come with adulting. You have to start dealing with: investments, house bills if you are living on your own, credit payments, taxes, insurance, saving, budgeting, and every single responsibility of being an adult. Personal finance forms the backbone for all your success
