I am the only child to Floyd and Dorothy (Reesman) Beveridge in the town of Putneyville, Pennsylvania. My parents moved to Kittanning, Pennsylvania, when I was very young. I overcame a life-threatening kidney disease called nephritis at the age of six. I accepted the Lord as my Savior at the age of eleven. I enjoyed my years in school and made many wonderful friends. I fulfilled a business course and graduated salutatorian of my class. I married a fellow classmate—Gary. I am a mother of a daughter, Marci Lyn, and a son, Ryan Floyd. I’m an animal lover, especially dogs and cats. I spent many years in the banking industry in addition to part-time positions as monument salesperson, postal worker, and coowner/manager of husband’s retail tire business. My church involvement has included various positions on the official board, youth leader, nursery worker, etc. I had the privilege of caring for my aging parents during their last years on earth. I’m the author of Windows to My Heart and Shades of Time.

DROPLETS FOR DESTINY

Droplets of despair will cause us some strife

For God’s strength comes amid trials though we gripe

Destiny will be fulfilled in our life.

Droplets of tears may stream down our face

For these moments of grief will ease our case

Destiny will set our eternal place.

Droplets of hope all around us do fall

For on God, anytime we can call

Destiny awaits, so let us stand tall.

Droplets of wisdom will help us endure

For with God’s Word we can be sure

Destiny will come with an open door.

Droplets of regret will not stop that door

For eternity is for evermore

Destiny solved with salvation’s cure!

DROPLETS FOR DESTINY

Doing our routine tasks every day

Forgetting how quickly time slips away.

Dreading unwanted events that evoke

Discovering droplets of hope to cope.

Forging on forward with full speed ahead

Dropping at night into our comfy bed.

Daily we march to the drumbeat of life

Finding enjoyment amid all the strife.

Do we take a minute to think of fate?

Decisions to make before it’s too late?

Fixing our destiny on God above

Deciding to accept His gift of love.

Delay of this act makes no common sense

Freely we can receive at Christ’s expense.

Determine this before our life is spent!
