About this ebook

Inexperience will get this new werewolf killed!

Sara Flores had saved five lives in the year since she was turned — so she wasn't worried about rescuing a student hacker hiding from goons.

Boy, was she wrong! Her "make it up as you go" strategy isn't working against an enemy with $ billions and no qualms about killing to make problems disappear. Against all that, she's one semi-self-trained woman armed only with two guns, a big honking knife and 42 very sharp canine teeth.

Worse -- Sara likes the college kid. His only workout before was typing keys on a computer, but now... he's trying his best to help. He doesn't deserve to join her in an unmarked dirt grave in the desert outside of Tulsa.

It's time to pull on her big-girl pants and show these evildoers just who is the big bad wolf in town. If that means she has to bite off a few heads -- so much the better.

"This girl doesn't mess around -- the more I read the more I want!" -- The International Review of Books

"Refreshingly original! Sara reminds me of Jane Yellowrock -- strong, mysterious, loyal and a loner." -- MJ Silversmith, Discovery

    PRAISE FOR CURIOSITY KILLS

"The more I get to know Sara Flores the more I love her, and she shocked the heck out of me in this novella. She's seriously got what it takes, and her witty matter-of-fact attitude makes every page an adventure. I wish I could say more without spoilers, but suffice it to say this girl doesn't mess around.

The more I read the more I want! This series is a great binge read!

    THE INTERNATIONAL REVIEW OF BOOKS

Sue Denver has written a fascinating character in Sara. She reminds me of Jane Yellowrock from Faith Hunter's series, and in all the right ways: strong, aloof, in control of herself (until she isn't), mysterious, and a loner. Shifting is dealt with as a practical reality rather than magic and sparkles, and I'm down with that.

Thanks to the wonderful Dr. Krish Pillai — the best computer science professor in the world. If you dont believe me about that, just ask any of his students at Penn Tech University or his former students at Lock Haven University.

Krish gave me (someone who is just barely computer literate) ideas on how a character might break into a server — and how he might get caught. But I did make changes for the story. So any errors/mistakes/idiocies you might find are mine alone.

An Oklahoma City federal judge Tuesday handed Gov. Kevin Stitt another defeat in his effort to restructure Oklahoma's nearly three dozen tribal gaming compacts… Stitt wants the tribes to agree to pay the state more in exclusivity fees. — The Oklahoman, July 29, 2020

Mason Spencer was feeling pretty damn good about himself — right up until he realized someone wanted him dead.

He’d spent the previous three days bunkered down in his off-campus room, fingers flying over his two computers, obsessed with making a breakthrough. The old box of calzones on the table was pushed aside in his search for energy bars and his beef jerky stash. When the mini-fridge in his room got low on Diet Mountain Dew, he just moved another six-pack into it — from the four-high stack right beside it. In fact, if he didn’t have to periodically go pee, he might just root himself to his chair.

His roommate Bill had banged on his door once. He didn’t remember how long ago that was. Earlier today? Yesterday? They were taking the same Networks class for
