FOREWORD

I have known Pastor Steve Harrop for well over three decades. All of which were his post-conversion years.

After reading his book that you hold in your hand or on your device makes me appreciate him even more. His story is like looking through a kaleidoscope as his life unfolds with all the good, the bad, and the ugly. Not many authors have the courage to be so transparent lest someone might think less of them. However, this story has a multifaceted message of the goodness and grace of God and those persons He used to rescue another Saul of Tarsus from self-destruction. ‘God Has a Man’ will not only hold your attention but captivate your very soul, as it surely has mine.

While I have read several autobiographical books, none have been so laced with relevant and applicable scripture that reminds us of our need to respond to His call and surrender all.

Pastor Steve is doing more than telling a story. He is teaching us to be that person willing to say here am I, use me! His story both strengthens our faith to be that person for one about to go under for the last time and gives us the Word we need to buttress our resolve to never give up reaching out to lend a helping hand.

As you read, I urge you to reflect on those persons God has used in your life to guide you to Christ or those now attempting to pull you back from the abyss.

Of course, the goal of everyone should be to reproduce in our lives the seeds of grace sown by others that we might know Christ or come to know Him.
