      Introduction

      My name is Stacie, and I'm a Virginia native and local to Washington DC now. I arrived in DC the same year as President Obama. I have over 18 years of experience in the finance and banking industries. Before you can understand my reasons for writing this book, it's important to understand a bit more about me. I've always had a passion for sports with a particular interest in basketball since I was in the military back in 2000. While in my current relationship, I noticed my significant other would bet on everything and anything with his friends. Regardless of how much they knew about the sport, they always had the confidence to make a partially educated guess! I'd spend a lot of my time listening to them discuss sports and realized they were often stuck on team loyalty when making bets. It left me wondering why they felt the need to be loyal to a specific team, even if the odds of hitting were low!

      It was then that I decided to get into the world of sports betting. I finally had the confidence to take the partial information I had gained from listening to them and source the rest of the information via my own research to start making informed bets.  It
